Ok....so lots of dogs and lots of Mr. Burns. My dh loves it, though he has never watched the simpsons Shock. I'm not so keen. Thank you - think I'll stick to my veto! Or maybe a middle name......

Montgomery makes me think of a posh man from the 20s wearing a top hat, tails and a monocle.

Monty however sounds quite cute and fun loving. I think of a cartoon mouse for some reason. Then maybe the Full Monty.

MaisieDotes · 26/11/2016 22:38

Boo-urns

Ohwoolballs · 26/11/2016 22:40

MauiChristmas · 26/11/2016 22:41

My mates cat.

ShoopyShoopyDoopDoop · 26/11/2016 22:51

I love it!

I know a Monty. It's a gorgeous name.

lola111 · 26/11/2016 22:52

general Montgomery
Montgomery Burns
my dead cat
in that order

mnpeasantry · 26/11/2016 22:54

That it's a lovely name

AliceInUnderpants · 26/11/2016 22:55

I think of it as a bit pretentious, same as Theodore and Arlo.

pieceofpurplesky · 26/11/2016 22:58

I like it. I teach a monty / great name, quirky kid and cool parents

BakeOffBiscuits · 26/11/2016 22:58

I do like Monty but Montgomery is just too "I say old chap" for me.

SoMuchToBits · 26/11/2016 23:10

Monty? Panesar (cricketer). Or an Osprey (Dyfi Osprey Project).

Montgomery? General. Or wasn't one of the kids in The Darling Buds of May called Montgomery?

WalterWhitesNipple · 26/11/2016 23:13

'Poor kid'

TroysMammy · 26/11/2016 23:14

A neighbour's horrible scruffy dog who used to roll in cow pats.

Wenker · 26/11/2016 23:16

Darling buds of may

LestatVonGaribaldi · 27/11/2016 14:10

I think of a dirty blonde haired child with ruddy cheeks in a hand knitted jumper

goldenrachita · 28/11/2016 10:42

It's very posh but I love it.

KlingybunFistelvase · 28/11/2016 19:45

Mr Burns or Uncle Monty from Withnail and I.

I've never met one irl though. It seems like a lot of syllables for a little boy, but it's not a dreadful name.

NotJimbo · 28/11/2016 23:04

To me it sounds somewhere between try-hard and bonkers. Despite that I know a young lad called Monty (Montgomery), he's totally normal, from a normal family, so kinda disproves my prejudices.

Pippioddstocking · 28/11/2016 23:07

It reminds me of a dear departed friend from old . He was a cravat wearing wine drinking cigar smoking softie .

Besplendour · 28/11/2016 23:13

A retired colonel in a nursing home. Or possibly the Montmorency books.

Thatwaslulu · 28/11/2016 23:14

Montgomery Moose from Get Along Gang.

I quite like it though.

EatsShitAndLeaves · 28/11/2016 23:18

As per a pp - uncle monty in withnail and I

lottiegarbanzo · 28/11/2016 23:22

Uncle Monty

I know a little Monty though and think it's really cool and suits him.

mylittlephoney · 28/11/2016 23:27

Pythons flying circus.
(Bloody spelling when your dyslexic )
