William. Finn is shite. Overused shite at that. William is lovely.

KlingybunFistelvase · 24/11/2016 17:43

William for me too.

Swearwolf · 24/11/2016 17:44

Finn, definitely. Williams are everywhere, it's so dull.

ShallNotBeNamed · 24/11/2016 17:44

Flogging.. there's no need to say Finn is shite, what's wrong with just saying which one you prefer?

Floggingmolly · 24/11/2016 17:45

It's my opinion. We're all allowed one.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 24/11/2016 17:45

William

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 24/11/2016 17:46

Bit mean though Flogging.

zen1 · 24/11/2016 17:48

I like Finn, but I suppose there are more options with William: Will; Billy etc.

ShallNotBeNamed · 24/11/2016 17:48

I appreciate opinions, there's no need to be nasty that's all.

PotteringAlong · 24/11/2016 17:50

William for me too

MollyHuaCha · 24/11/2016 17:54

I prefer William

Chinlo · 24/11/2016 17:56

With William you have a more traditional name, but a much more common one.

Finn is more unusual, but possibly in a bit of a trend right now, which means it may sound dated in decades to come. No way of knowing for sure, but there's a higher chance of that than with William.

Personally I think Finn is much cooler so I'd risk it. William is just so boring.

Sophronia · 24/11/2016 18:00

William

nennyrainbow · 24/11/2016 18:03

I much prefer Finn. William is too royalist for me. Finn also works well in other European countries. I know a Danish Finn (adult).

MrsGB2015 · 24/11/2016 18:21

William

DramaAlpaca · 24/11/2016 18:22

Finn Smile

Love them both but would use Will as the everyday name if I chose William. If you were using William day to day I'd go with Finn

Gruffalosfriend · 24/11/2016 22:44

If I had to choose, William. But the one we know gets teased with Willy Blush

VintagePerfumista · 25/11/2016 06:27

They are both very popular, although in different ways- William because it's a classic. Finn because it's trendy (though I think its peak has passed, a few years ago almost every boy was either Finn or Finlay)

I'd go for William.

Normandy144 · 25/11/2016 06:41

William is nice but they are very common. There are two at DDs preschool and we know another two through friends.

Finn is nice and I think less common, but it's less of a classic name, so will date more easily.

MiniMaxi · 25/11/2016 07:41

Both great names! I'm a big fan of Finn and would choose that, but William is classic and a good choice too.

MitzyLeFrouf · 25/11/2016 08:03

Finn

User1987654 · 25/11/2016 16:36

William.
