It's an appalling name (for a boy I presume). You might as well just call him Rotherham, Hull or Slough.....

PoldarksBreeches · 24/11/2016 15:07

If you must then Marlowe but best not

CryingShame · 24/11/2016 15:12

Arlo would be better but, of those 3, Marlowe.

hippoesque · 24/11/2016 15:13

Marlowe has always been in the bank in case I had a girl! It's beautiful

QueenOfTheNaps · 24/11/2016 15:26

With the e is feminine I think?? (Don't quote me on that)
I would go for Marlow.
I quite like it but seems I'm in the minority on this thread Grin

Elbi · 24/11/2016 16:02

I like it too but would spell it like the saint: Malo

BonusNewt · 24/11/2016 16:03

I like it, and would go for Marlow or Marlowe but definitely not Marlo

plimsolls · 24/11/2016 16:03

Marlowe is the name of Sienna Miller's daughter I think. So have assumed Marlowe to be a girl's name.

BonusNewt · 24/11/2016 16:04

I assumed boy!

TwitterQueen1 · 24/11/2016 16:07

No. None of them.
It's a place, not a name for a child. St Malo is also a place in France.

If you must have something similar, try Marley. But then everyone will cry whenever they see him/her and think about golden retrievers...

Marlow if boy, Marlowe if girl, Marlo if a dog. I don't like it

Sophronia · 24/11/2016 17:59

Marlo

PoldarksBreeches · 24/11/2016 18:45

Why marlo? It's the worst. It's not even from anything.

user1470686892 · 24/11/2016 20:55

Like it for a girl, I'd choose Marlowe I think.

No one liked Autumn until it had a Royal connection, now everyone loves it.
I think it's a strong cool name.

eyebrowsonfleek · 24/11/2016 20:59

Marlow is a place in Buckinghamshire (where I live) so not a name for a person IMO.

SueGeneris · 24/11/2016 21:01

Marla?

Wasn't she the female lead in Fight Club?

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 24/11/2016 21:02

Milo maybe? If it's for a boy that is.

MadameJosephine · 24/11/2016 21:05

I met a little girl called Marlowe just the other day, I think it's a lovely name

livinglooney8 · 24/11/2016 21:08

None. There are so many beautiful names out there. Not this one.

Bagina · 24/11/2016 21:11

Marlo Stanfield was from The Wire, and a right nasty bastard! Christopher Marlowe: very literary.

user1470686892 · 24/11/2016 21:19

Does a girls name have to sound be beautiful?

Can't it sound strong and kick ass?

Stockard Channing for example.

Pluto30 · 24/11/2016 22:47

None.

I know someone who named their child Something Marlowe. I'm not going to say the first name in case she ever comes across this thread, because it would be too obvious it was her. Grin

But the name is try-hard. The first name is possibly even worse than Marlowe, but Marlowe is naff nonetheless.

Oh, and the child's a girl.
