Not pregnant but first month ttc #2!

DP just suggested Rafael if we have another boy and I'm so undecided if I like it, part of me loves it and part of me worries it would lead to comments in the playground! is it similar to Hugo in terms of stereotype?

Any other suggestions for boys or girls?

We like unusual but not weird (Hugo isn't common round here but I know it is in other areas)

Prefer Raphael spelling. It's a lovely name.

Raphael is a nicer spelling than Rafael, but it's a lovely name. Smile

The Hugo I know has a brother named Henry.

I know a Hugo and Ralph (Ralf) And a Hugo and Ralph (Rafe)!
And a Hugo and Seb(astian)! DS went to a boys' school ....hence the prevalence of Hugos in our circle perhaps?!

I think Tom goes nicely with Hugo although perhaps more common than you'd like.

I really like hector!

My only worry about another name starting with H is that their middles names have the same initial too (my dad and fil names) so their initials would be the same! Or am I overthinking this?

Icklepickle, I have children with the same initials, it's a pain in the butt.
Could you change around the middle name initials ?

Icklepickle101 · 23/11/2016 10:33

I thought that be the case!

I'd rather choose a different first name than upset DP and not use FILs name as middle name.

Raphael is growing on me!

I prefer Ralph to Raphael for some reason.

Random pointless fact; the most charming man I ever met (swoon) was called Raphael, Raph for short. I probably wouldn't name my DS after him though.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 23/11/2016 14:02

Sorry OP, was thinking that there were two middle names, and that you could swap them around, but still use both, for second child.
My mistake 😄

Rafferty could be an alternative...?
