Really like it, very pretty.

DeleteOrDecay · 21/11/2016 18:13

I love it.

NutellaCookie · 21/11/2016 18:15

Beautiful and under used name

Yawninghippo · 21/11/2016 18:28

Do you think it's particularly popular? I'm trying to avoid anything very or middlingly popular.

DeleteOrDecay · 21/11/2016 19:05

I don't think it's popular, I don't know anyone, or know anyone who knows someone of that name iykwim.

LottieDoubtie · 21/11/2016 19:08

I haven't come across one in the last 15 years so no I'd say not popular.

I love it though and it's definitely on my list of girls names for my hypothetical daughter.

EsmesBees · 21/11/2016 19:08

Really like it. The only thing that stopped me calling dd Felicity was that I didn't like any of the nicknames.

Allalonenow · 21/11/2016 19:11

It's a lovely name, not over popular, not in the top ten last year.

MrsChrisPratt · 21/11/2016 19:12

It's not popular at all. I know and both are very well-to-do. Bear in mind she may be called Fliss or Flic which you may not like

crayfish · 21/11/2016 19:16

I really like it and have never ever met a single one, so it certainly isn't popular where I live!

MissisBee · 21/11/2016 19:21

Lovely name

Iamcheeseman · 21/11/2016 19:22

I'm a teacher and I've only known one in 8 years.

Yawninghippo · 21/11/2016 19:28

I like Fliss or Lissy for nicknames so I'm happy with that. I'm pleased it's not too popular, I've only ever liked really unusual or downright odd names, but DP would prefer something a little less mental so been trying to find something that fits us both. Smile

I love it. I only know 1 (3 yrs old), no nickname for her at the moment but I really like fliss.

Nuttypops · 21/11/2016 19:34

I like it, have only taught 1 in the 7 years I have been teaching. DD, aged 2, does have a friend at nursery called Felicity and I know another little girl born a few weeks ago who is also a Felicity so I wonder if it may be becoming more popular though.

Joinourclub · 21/11/2016 19:36

Very lovely. Never taught one in 13 years of teaching, though I do now know a one year old Fliss.

strongswans · 21/11/2016 19:42

Lovely! I have know of 2, a 4 year old and a lady in her 30s who goes by Izzy. Its not overly popular. I would use it!

Yawninghippo · 21/11/2016 21:45

Think that's decided it then! Thank you all!

Fab name, Hippo. Energetic and a bit jolly hockey sticks (in a good way).
It's on our long list (and thinking of adding it to my short list Grin).

Both Flick and Fliss are good nns.

FastWindow · 21/11/2016 23:57

I don't know anyone called Felicity in my 43 years; closest classy name- I knew a Penelope when i was 7.

Go for it, i bet the teachers will be delighted to have a child they can pronounce...

mammmamia · 22/11/2016 00:10

I love it. I knew three at school but have not met one since. I also love the way it looks written down. Felicity. Go for it!

mammmamia · 22/11/2016 00:10

I also love Verity which is similar

FastWindow · 22/11/2016 00:34

And the clear meanings of Felicity and Verity. Good fortune, and Truth. Lovely and clear.

Clarice, anyone?
