Opinions on Aspen?

Aspen just seems like such a nice name!

Honest opinions?

It's a lovely ski resort, I'm not so sure it's a lovely name....

Don't like it I'm afraid. Makes me think of a snake (asp) or jelly (Aspic). Just doesn't sound good to me.

Opened the thread to say DH loves it. To ski. Goes every Feb with DS. They have a great time.

Oh I love Aspen. It was on my list but couldn't find a good shortening without conjuring snake/Cleopatra images.
