Hugo, Edward or Alfred

What do you think of these names? Wanting something classically English that isn't too popular or out there! We don't know babies sex but we have easily agreed on a girls name. Struggling much more with boys!

Top three at the moment are Hugo, Edward or Alfred...

Love hugo and ed, not alfred though.

Edward and Hugo are great names. Alfred is less great and would be shortened to Alfie, which is everywhere.

Edward -- people will think you're a twilight fan

Hugo -- getting very popular and common, I'm hearing Hugo and Theo shouted in parks and on busses very often, but that might just be where I live?

I have an Edward so I'm biased towards that. I like Hugo too, but not Alfred. Nobody has ever made the Twilight association with Edward, I've always been complimented on how lovely and classic it is.

Hugo is getting very popular, how about Hugh? Or Huw? Edward could be Teddy, Ted, Ned, Eddy as well as Ed, Alfred will be Alfie or Fred, which I also hear all over the place!

Edward is my favourite, the other two are my husbands favourites!

I like Alfred best, then Edward. Prefer Hugh to Hugo.

I would not call a child Hugo.

I like Edward best and then Alfred (don't like Alfie as nn though but Freddie is cute if you want a nn). Don't like Hugo at all.
