Middle name for Clara?

We settled on Clara for fist name and looking for middle name. Do you like any of the below:

Clara Iris
Clara Sol
Clara Cynthia
Clara Elise
Clara Nataly

DH is Spanish and I'm Greek living in the UK and we have a very long last name. From the above Elise will not be close to our background so not sure about using that though I like the sound. Cynthia I like because it means moon Goddess and linked with Greek heritage but wanted something soft in the combination.

What about Clara Maria
Clara Sofia
Clara Cristina
Should work in both cultures

Mum8 · 13/11/2016 06:56

We have a Sofia, Maria & Cristina in the family and though they are lovely names we wanted something more unique. It's only a middle name but we still wanted something to add some spice to the name iykwim

Catalina?

Mum8 · 13/11/2016 07:00

A bit too long I think, we would prefer something of 3 syllables or shorter due to long last name

I like Clara Cynthia!

You don't hear Cynthia very often nowadays. Sweet combination. Smile

Mum8 · 13/11/2016 07:05

Thank you Pluto30! Like it too but was worried it may be too much of a mouthful so good to hear what others think

Personally I think Clara Elise is lovely, and scans well particularly if you have a long surname.

I am kind of loving Clara Cynthia now, because of the meaning. What do you think? Like the sound of Clara Elise but kind of feels we r trying to be something we r not, not sure it may grow on me

What about Clara Elisa? Or want to avoid another -a ending?

I can't say I like the Cynthia as a first name, but as a middle name I think it's very cute, especially with the fist name Clara.

According to google, other cute "greek" girls' names (forgive me if they are totally not..) are:

Alysia
Eleni
Nastassia
Zoe

I really like Maria, Cristina and Sofia too but I see these aren't possible in your situation

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/11/2016 08:31

Clara Cynthia is lovely and unusual OP.

Mum8 · 13/11/2016 12:54

Thank you sugarpiehoneyeye and crobanna, think Clara Cynthia is in the forefront now...

Love Clara Cynthia!

ValiaH · 14/11/2016 12:33

I like Clara Eleanor, and Eleanor is apparently of Greek origin.

SorenaJ · 14/11/2016 13:23

Clara Sol sounds beautiful

Longdistance · 14/11/2016 13:28

Clara Martha? Grin

DoofusMcXmas1 · 14/11/2016 13:29

Clara Belle?

LegoClassic · 14/11/2016 21:41

Alice just popped into my mind when I saw your title..
Clara is beautiful. I think Cynthia (or anything with three syllables) is not quite right after Clara though. And the hard C and then soft C sounds a bit odd to my ear. How about a one syllable name to follow Clara?
