Baby no name!

Baby girl is a week old tomorrow and we still don't have a name.. we have three options at the minute..

Poppy-Rose
Callie
Mariella

My kids and family love Poppy-Rose but I just can't see it as a first name? So maybe a middle name..
What are everyone else's opinions please?!

Love Mariella! Will she want to be Poppy Rose when she's grown up?

crje · 10/11/2016 23:09

I like Callie

Pallisers · 10/11/2016 23:14

I love Mariella. Lots of possibilities for shortened/pet names too.

Poppy-Rose is a bit too cutsey/flowery for me.

I know a Callie and it is lovely but it seems like it is short for something even though it isn't.

Allalonenow · 10/11/2016 23:16

Mariella is the only one I like, and is a lovely name.

Poppy is amazingly in the top ten names of last year, so she won't be the only little Poppy in her class.

DramaAlpaca · 10/11/2016 23:16

I completely agree with Pallisers.

Pluto30 · 10/11/2016 23:17

I like Poppy, but not Poppy-Rose. It's too flowery.

Mariella Poppy would be nice. Or Poppy Mariella.

Joinourclub · 10/11/2016 23:18

I vote for Callie.

dottyaboutstripes · 10/11/2016 23:19

Mariella for me!

TeshiB · 10/11/2016 23:23

I really like Callie, think it's a lovely name for all ages. Very sweet but also grown up.
May be because I really like Calla too.

TheDuchessOfKidderminster · 10/11/2016 23:37

Callista?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 11/11/2016 00:03

Poppy-Rose.

ILoveAutumnLeaves · 11/11/2016 00:43

I like Callie.

Though I expect she'll spend a lot of time correcting people from Kelly, depending on your accent.

Do you like Claudia?

Lucked · 11/11/2016 01:01

Mariella or maybe Poppy on its own.

JudgeJudySheidlin · 11/11/2016 02:54

I don't like hyphenated names but I like Poppy & Rose as individual names. Your other choices are cute though.

Try saying the names over & over again as in;
"Poppy Rose/Mariella/Callie can you please eat your vegetables" or another phrase you're likely to use lots of. See what feels more comfortable for you & what you feel your baby girl suits the most.

Congrats by the way!

PunkAssMoFo · 11/11/2016 04:46

Mariella is beautiful.

I find poppy-rose twee & (sorry) a bit naff.
Callie doesn't feel like a proper name.

HearTheThunderRoar · 11/11/2016 06:28

Oh I do like Callie, my DD is at school with one (she's American).

Very pretty.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 11/11/2016 06:36

I know a little Mariella and it is such a lovely names when spoken. (That's clumsy, hope it makes sense)

Raines100 · 11/11/2016 07:35

Mariella is beautiful in an indulgent way, whereas Callie is beautiful and understated.

Poppy-Rose is neither.

SorenaJ · 11/11/2016 09:18

I like Callie

Oysterbabe · 11/11/2016 09:21

Not Poppy-Rose. Two different flowers hyphenated just doesn't work.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 11/11/2016 12:05

Mariella is lovely.

SpunkyMummy · 11/11/2016 15:18

Mariella is nice :)

Poppy-Rose is too flowery, cutesy imo.

Callie is ok. But it feels lik a nickname. What about Callista or Calla and Callie as the nn?

However, my favourite of these is Rose. It's really beautiful. Why not Rose Mariella ......? Or Rose Callie ......?

SpunkyMummy · 11/11/2016 15:18

*like

Sophronia · 11/11/2016 16:37

Mariella

Pyrrha · 11/11/2016 16:41

Callie or Callista are nice
