I can't decide!

Isla imo.

NotAMamaYet · 07/11/2016 15:55

Isla.

If the other, please spell Leila not Layla......

mediumdeadwood · 07/11/2016 15:57

Layla. And I prefer your spelling to Leila.

Mamia15 · 07/11/2016 15:57

Definitely Isla - its a pretty name :)

Dislike Layla.

HubbleBubbles · 07/11/2016 16:00

I love Layla! Like Eric Clapton - retro cool. Isla is a bit over done now imo.

LivinOnAChair · 07/11/2016 16:03

Isla is my name of choice if we ever have a DD, Isla Grace is lovey!

OvO · 07/11/2016 16:04

Isla.

My DS's school has more Layla's than Isla's! Scottish school too so you'd think Isla would be more popular.

Both are very pretty though.

weegiemum · 07/11/2016 16:15

Layla (or Leila).

Isla is off-the -chart common here. Its the new Lily.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 07/11/2016 16:18

Isla.

But if it's Layla then that spelling.

Chinlo · 07/11/2016 16:19

Layla.

Isla is probably nicer, if you don't mind it's popularity. For me number 3 is just too much. I don't mind a top 20 name, top 10 maybe, I suppose, if I really loved it. But top 5? I don't think I could do it.

Pemba · 07/11/2016 17:10

Layla Grace. Or preferably Leila Grace (much prettier and more classic spelling).

Isla is OK, but for some reason it has become superpopular the last few years, they are all over the place.

Chinlo · 07/11/2016 17:40

Layla Grace. Or preferably Leila Grace (much prettier and more classic spelling)

Actually, according to behindthename, which is normally very reliable in these matters, Layla is the original spelling and Leila is a variant.

Therefore, Layla is more classic Smile and in my opinion, prettier!

veiledsentiments · 07/11/2016 17:43

I like both, but it's Laila. Had mine 18 years!

veiledsentiments · 07/11/2016 17:46

Leila to me is Leela. My daughter is named after the first Laila that I knew 35 years ago. And it was definitely Laila.

Pipilangstrumpf · 07/11/2016 18:08

Isla is too popular and will soon sound dated.

Layla less common so would choose it on that basis

Pipilangstrumpf · 07/11/2016 18:09

I prefer the Layla spelling. Pronounced as it is written- Lay-la. Easy.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 07/11/2016 18:16

Isla Grace.

Newtoday · 07/11/2016 18:20

Layla

MadameSilva · 07/11/2016 18:36

Isla Grace will probably be at school with 8 other Isla Graces

Shadowboy · 07/11/2016 18:38

Love Isla. Layla for some reason makes me think of a porn star. I also love Grace.

Corialanusburt · 07/11/2016 18:47

Shadowboy, I also always think of a porn star when I think of the name Layla. It sounds pleasant to say but looks somehow a bit tarty.

There are way too many Islas now. In the 79s when I was little there was only Isla St Clair.

PipersPiping · 07/11/2016 18:50

Isla. I think the popularity thing must be regional, my Isla is 6 and we've not met or heard of another locally in that time.

Sophronia · 07/11/2016 18:54

Isla. I don't like the 'lay' part of Layla.

PoldarksBreeches · 07/11/2016 18:55

Layla something else.
Isla and Grace are so common now that they are utterly dull. Choose something original.

scrivette · 07/11/2016 18:56

Laila Grace (how my friend spells it)
