Are these names okay, for twins? I love Maddie and Ollie, but are they too similar? Also, how would you pronounce Madeleine?

l Love them, I would emphasise the 'I', not make it Leine as in 'Lane'

I naturally say Mad-eh-lyn... Is this an acceptable pronunciation?

I love them both - I rather wanted Oliver for ds2 but dh was not keen.

I would pronounce Madeleine madd-i-len - with the middle 'i' being short, as in bit or tip.

They sound fine together! I wouldalso say Mad eh lyn?

How in all that is holy are they similar? A long girl's name and a shortish boy's name? Confused

Both nice, safe, fairly classic. Lots and lots and lots of Olivers though, if that sort of thing bothers you.

Love Madeleine.

I'd try not to shorten either, but realise that that is often unworkable!

Ollie and maddie are similar Smile
I'd pronounced it ending in Lane not line

Undervaluedandsad · 06/11/2016 08:23

Love those names. Go for it!

Nice names and fine together.

Lovely names, OP.

Madeleine, to me, is Mad-Eh-Len or Mad-Eh-Lyn.
