Jasper?

What are your thoughts on the name Jasper?

I like it, because it seems unusual - I've never met or heard of any others - but it's a name everyone knows and can spell. I also wonder why it's seemingly not that popular - I never see it mentioned on Mumsnet. What are your thoughts/connotations/experiences with this name?

Middle name would be Leo - family connection.

I wonder if people avoid it because of the Twilight connection?

I quite like it. Jasper Leo sounds good.

Sorry but my immediate thoughts go to Jasper Carrot. Might be my age though.

My cats name and also know a few dogs called Jasper

i like Jasper on a child, just not sure if it's a 'man's name' ??

I know an Australian Jasper - nice guy. And Jasper Leo sounds like a cool name.

My first thought is Carrot, of course, but I actually quite like far.

I wanted Jasper for a boy. DH insisted not as it reminds him of Jasper Carrot

I know a 3yo Jasper. He's a handful. It's a sweet name tho.

I really like it, our next door neighbour has a 13 year old Jasper.

I've got one and he had red hair when he was younger. The MW thought I was mad to call him Jasper. He has grown into his name and is very confident with it.

We have a Jasper Leo in our family!
