DP doesn't mind - he says I can pick (as he likes all 6) but I just don't know :( it's so hard.

The 6 are:

  • Grace
  • Ivy
  • Layla
  • Olivia
  • Scarlet (I prefer it spelt like the colour, I think! I'm undecided on that too Grin)
  • Violet

Thank you... She's so gorgeous, so suits all of them Wink

Olivia.

flumpybear · 05/11/2016 08:48

Violet ivy
Or
Violet Grace

Grace is too popular as is Olivia

ScarlettDarling · 05/11/2016 08:50

Scarlett of course!

calzone · 05/11/2016 08:51

Violet Grace

I work in a large school and don't know any Violets......love it.

Allalonenow · 05/11/2016 08:55

Grace or Violet.

Olivia was a top ten name last year, so there will be lots of them already.

Not keen on the other names, Ivy is my least favourite of them. If you spell Scarlett with only one T she will have a lifetime of correcting the spelling!

whatstheplanphil · 05/11/2016 08:57

Violet

mediumdeadwood · 05/11/2016 08:57

I reckon Layla.

groovygreenwichgirl · 05/11/2016 09:11

Lovely names.

In order of preference:

Ivy - pretty, slightly vintage chic. Really like this.
Grace - a classic and lovely meaning. Not for a middle name though, I think it's overused for this.
Violet - pretty and again vintagey. More unusual as well.
Layla - lovely sound, might have issues with spelling though as Leila is also used a lot.
Olivia -lovely name but ridiculously popular. I guess it's if you mind her being one of several at school.
Scarlet - the only one I really don't like. Sounds made up and don't think it will age well. I also think of scarlet fever when I hear it.

Let us know what you decide on!x

I have dd 10 weeks called grace and love it but I have been told multiple times how popular it is at the minute but it hasn't thrown me off. If I had a second choice off your list I would pick ivy.

Nospringflower · 05/11/2016 10:33

Layla with Violet second. The others are lovely but a bit popular and at the moment if that bothers you.

Lots of Grace's and Olivia's. Scarlet is one that seems different but there are still quite a few although I have always liked the name and Ivy I am just not keen on at all.

TheCakes · 05/11/2016 10:38

I like Ivy best, but my favourite girls name is Iris.
I also love Scarlet. Not keen on Violet, and Grace and Olivia are too popular for my liking, lovely as they are.

What letter does her surname start with?

PinkDungeon · 05/11/2016 12:29

Thank you, I still don't know Grin

I love the name Violet, vintage and sweet. I really like Scarlet and Ivy aswell.
Not keen on Grace, Olivia or Layla, just don't like the look or sounds to them.

Loyly · 05/11/2016 15:24

Violet

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 05/11/2016 15:29

In order of preference;

Ivy
Scarlett
Layla
Violet
Olivia
Grace

Ivy is a beautiful name. Personally, I can't stand Grace or Olivia but have no real idea why! Violet I like but does it sound too much like violent? We discounted it for DD because of that aspect.

Sorry that doesn't help much!

DurhamDurham · 05/11/2016 15:32

Violet first choice, Scarlet second.

Olivia has become very popular, there are a lot around here.

Conniedescending · 05/11/2016 16:03

Violet or Olivia

Layla is awful

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 05/11/2016 16:09

Scarlett

BellaShLex · 05/11/2016 16:40

Grace and Ivy are my favourites! Violet is pretty too.

blackhairbrush · 05/11/2016 16:47

Ivy Grace is pretty

Twinkletwinkle4 · 05/11/2016 17:04

Grace or ivy! Congratulations on your new bundle of joy :)

CPtart · 05/11/2016 17:45

Grace or Olivia. The most popular but also the most classless and timeless.
Ivy is rather faddy IMO.
Scarlett and Layla are cheap not as nice as the others.

Bin85 · 05/11/2016 18:34

Olivia is lovely and classic.
Grace is my second choice.

SingaSong12 · 05/11/2016 18:39

Grace or Violet would be my favourites. Both are quite traditional and relatively easy to spell with not too many alternate spellings.

rainbow99 · 05/11/2016 21:26

My favourites are Grace, Olivia and then Violet. I don't like the others I'm afraid. I know a few Scarlett's which get called Scarly or Scarl for short which I think is awful
