Middle names for Rose

DH went off Orla, which has been DD3's name since I was 20 weeks (now 32). I think I went off it a bit, too.

The name I always loved before that was Rose, but DH wouldn't agree. Now he's warming to it.

But middle names are a problem! Here are the ones one or other of us likes (none on which we both agree):

Rose Elizabeth
Rose Lydia
Rose Elspeth
Rose Vivienne

What do you think? Any other suggestions?

You don't have to have a middle name, I don't have one. Just Rose is lovely

MadameSilva · 04/11/2016 11:52

I was going to suggest Elizabeth.

Rose Louise
Rose Josephine
Rose Elora

Definitely want a middle name. i also like Rose Imogen (DH doesn't like Rose Elizabeth or Rose Imogen and they're my favourite two)

I'm a Rosanna but everyone calls me Rose. My middle name is Kate which I've always liked.

Ooh some lovely suggestions - thank you!

I love Rose Imogen, Rose Elizabeth and Rose Vivienne. DH likes Rose Lydia, which I think is pretty but I don't think it really flows.

LOVE Rose Eleanor whoever suggested that (DD2's middle name is Eleanor, though - but I have said to DH loads of times that Rose Eleanor would be so so gorgeous!)

Rose Rebecca - would never have thought of this combination but it's lovely. SIL has Rebecca as middle name and uses it a lot (on FB, for instance - she's a teacher and it's part of her disguised name).

I like Rose Beatrice, too - DH hates it.

Going to write some of these down with our other names and get DH to look at them written down - might help persuade him Smile

No to Rose Eleanor! I already have a child with Eleanor as a middle name :D

Rose Isabelle also impossible due to names of other DDs. But people can clearly see the ball park I'm in Grin

Nice suggestions - I like Rose Lucia Smile

Rose Arianna (love this!)
Rose Alexandra
Rose Amelia
Rose Natalia
Rose Emilia
Rose Cecelia
Rose Titania
Rose Olivia

.... I think Rose needs a four syllable middle to balance it out. Lovely name!

ineedbanoffee · 07/11/2016 11:09

Thank you! I love some of these. Rose Olivia is my fave on your list :D

Rose Arabella

Or as a pp suggested, could you use Rosanna as a first name (with Rose as the 'everyday' name) as that would flow better with lots of shorter MN possibilities?

AppleCanoe · 07/11/2016 23:40

Rose Elizabeth is lovely

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/11/2016 22:53

Rose Alexandra
Rose Ellen
Rose Mary
Rose Maria

ineedbanoffee · 09/11/2016 14:09

We like Rose Ethel. I know people hate that, but we like it.

Although after today Rose Olivia has become a contender again - who doesn't want a name that means 'love' and 'peace' in a universe of Trumps?
