Anyone have thoughts on this?

I like it. It's nicer than Ellie. Smile

StarBears · 02/11/2016 20:27

I like it, but you've got to have just the right surname to pull it off... Smile

Lovely name.

PoldarksBreeches · 02/11/2016 20:31

As long as you don't try to make people pronounce it Ellie

honeysucklejasmine · 02/11/2016 20:32

I assume pronounced "El" like El Salvador, and not "Ellie"?

It's a nice name. Smile

ellenoir · 02/11/2016 20:35

My name is Elle but pronounced "Ellie" and I like it :)

StarBears · 02/11/2016 20:47

Yes, Elle as in EL

But I like Elle as in Ellie too, ellenoir ! Smile

Yay for people who remember the Elle thread! How are we all saying it??

Pluto30 · 02/11/2016 20:52

I assumed it could only be Elle, as in the French word, Elle Macpherson and the magazine...

News to me that it could be Ellie!

I do think you have to have the right surname. But if you do, it's a great name. Elegant and graceful sound; inherently very feminine, but short and not frilly!

PoldarksBreeches · 02/11/2016 20:57

But Elle isn't pronounced Ellie
It just isn't
