Big sister is called Chloe, is Clover going to be too confusing?

Is it for a child? Male or female?

AliceInHinterland · 02/11/2016 19:52

It's a lovely and but I think it's too similar.

ThisPasadenaHomemaker · 02/11/2016 19:52

Chloe and Clover does sound a tad bonkers unimaginative.

NoArtificialColours · 02/11/2016 19:53

Yes a female baby

Good start Grin

I automatically think of the margarine, as it's what I use. But not everyone does!

Chottie · 02/11/2016 19:53

Love the name but too similar to Chloe IMO

coolaschmoola · 02/11/2016 19:55

I like Clover in a Clover Carr way - but as the male rabbit in Sofia the First is called Clover I'm not sure I'd use it.

Plus Chloe and Clover together are, imo, too similar. They are individuals, don't make them share a single syllable, CHLO-e and CLO-ver,particularly when the inevitable teenage shortening will be Chlo/Clo for both.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 02/11/2016 19:55

Noooooo, it's a cow's name or margarine.

needmymouthsewnup · 02/11/2016 19:55

Yes a female baby

Ok. Definitely too similar then, esp as both girls, it seems a bit "twinny" ifkwim...

Creatureofthenight · 02/11/2016 19:56

Nice name but way too similar to Chloe.

Propertyquandry · 02/11/2016 19:57

I thought cow too. Sorry.

ScarletForYa · 02/11/2016 19:57

Cows name OP.

Cel982 · 02/11/2016 19:59

It's a nice name, but you can't use it with Chloe.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 02/11/2016 19:59

I thought cow too.
Too similar to Chloe.
Sorry.

Sunnydawn · 02/11/2016 20:00

I thought cow too. Sorry.

AlmaMartyr · 02/11/2016 20:00

I love love the name Clover, it's one of my favourites. I think Chloe and Clover would be a bit much though.

Shemozzle · 02/11/2016 20:00

I love the name Clover, it's been on my shortlist for all my pregnancies, but vetoed by DP each time. Unfortunately I think you really can't use it for Chloe's sister. Reminds me of when I worked with two boys a year apart in age called Daniel and Samuel (never shortened) used to drive me mad, and Chloe and Clover are even more similar.

NoArtificialColours · 02/11/2016 20:02

Okay thanks all for your honesty.

Good point about them being individuals so need different sounding names. I wouldn't want a Topsy and Tim Grin

Back to the drawing board..

Far to similar to Chloe imo, also the first thing that springs to mind is margarine or a cow. Sorry!

IpDipCatnip · 02/11/2016 20:03

Yes, reminds me of the Clover math advert! 😐

AliceInHinterland · 02/11/2016 20:05

If it's any consolation you have good taste, they are nice names! I like Sophie with Chloe.

Pluto30 · 02/11/2016 20:09

Yes.

And I don't like it. Chloe is so nicer by comparison. Clover is a daft name, and reminds me of Clove Moore, the useless ex-mayor of Sydney.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/11/2016 21:20

I do like Clover, but it is rather similar.
Are you wanting a name beginning with 'C', or something else OP.

Manumission · 02/11/2016 21:24

Clary?

Damian Aspinall has a DD called Clary. And another called Tansy.

BarInSpace · 02/11/2016 21:55

Too similar, yes.

Ava, Viola, Iona?
