I love it . My daughter is Holly

tiredandhungryalways · 01/11/2016 20:02

Not keen. Holly is nice as is Kate but not together

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 01/11/2016 20:10

I like how it sounds but be aware she will spend her life introducing herself as "Holly with an I E".

(There were two Clare's at university and early on I told a mutual friend of both of them that I was meeting "Clare without an I" later. She was most concerned about what had happened to her eye! Grin )

SausageSoda · 01/11/2016 20:13

I much prefer it spelt Holly rather than Hollie.

daisiesinherfootsteps · 01/11/2016 20:15

Kate is lovely.

Hollie is a silly spelling. Holly is fine.

WaitrosePigeon · 01/11/2016 21:00

Hollie Kate doesn't work together.

WaitrosePigeon · 01/11/2016 21:01

And Holly definitely

IneedAdinosaurNickname · 01/11/2016 21:02

I love Hollie spelt ie (but that's how a much loved relative spells it)
Not overly keen on Hollie Kate but the more I say it the more it grows on me.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 01/11/2016 21:38

Hollie Kate is a lovely name, though I too, prefer the spelling Holly.

Pipilangstrumpf · 01/11/2016 21:41

It looked like Holy Kate Grin

Quercus3 · 01/11/2016 22:44

I'm a Holly, I love it.

People usually spell my name correctly, I think I'd be annoyed if I was a Hollie and people got it wrong all the time.

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 01/11/2016 22:52

Well DD is Holly and I am Kate - so it's a yes from me :)

PaulaHollywood · 01/11/2016 23:04

2 of my fav names so love it! I think Holly Katherine sounds better, but I much prefer Kate to Katherine, so Kate still has my vote.

PaulaHollywood · 01/11/2016 23:04

and oops sorry I didn't deliberately type Holly instead of Hollie was just automatic !

GettingitwrongHauntingatnight · 01/11/2016 23:10

Right, its lovely but Holly is spelt with a y

GettingitwrongHauntingatnight · 01/11/2016 23:12

Holly is lovely, quite sweet with the I but spelling may help.
