George or Thomas?

I know both are very popular, but which do you prefer? Thanks in advance.

Well, I have a Thomas, because it is a family names and I like it as well, but I also like George. That's the thing with George and Thomas , the are so similar in a way that you are probably going to get a 50/50 split on who likes which name. I would go with the one you prefer, as neither will be seen as 'good' or 'bad'. However, of course, Thomas is best.

Thanks, I realise this is probably the most boring question to be asked on this board. But I like one, husband the other...just curious about which one people prefer...

My DS is Thomas and DH is George. People always get them messed around, which leads me to believe they are very similar names. So either! Obviously you have great taste!

George is awesome name (biased - DBro is one). Ignore any niggles re royal-influenced popularity - if you like it, use it. Thomas is also excellent. Either a very good choice.

My whole pregnancy I was set on Thomas & then had a girl . That was 12 years ago & I still love the name.

i think George is more popular at the moment but Thomas not as much yet so lovely

I have a George (predates the prince!)
It's always been popular and always will be, there will be a blip of more George born around now but in 20 years time no one will honk twice about it (do you ask every Elizabeth and William if they were named after the royals??)
