We love Ted and Tedorik.

Would Ted be easier in U.K. over Tedorik?

I've never seen Tedorik before, how do you pronounce it? Rhyming with Frederick or is the emphasis somewhere else?

Yes, it's similar to Frederick

Ted is more British but usually Ted is a shorter version of a longer name (often Edward) so Tedorik wouldn't be a problem.

More than 30 years ago I worked in a nursing home and one of the residents was named Tedorik. He was as British as the queen but his mother met a foreign soldier during a trip abroad and she liked his name which she then used.

I have an alternative to Edward and use Ed, Eddy, Teddy, Tedwin, Eddybear

Edward is nice name, but we are Polish and Tedorik is Polish for Theodore (I believe)

You are polish. Use a polish name if you want. Call him ted in the U.K. If you want but don't think he has to have an " English" name. This country is multicultural and all the better for it. People might go " uh" the first time but after that it'll be fine.

I would call him Tedorik and if he finds it easier he can be Ted or Teddy or Ed or Rik or whatever he fancies! Depends where you're living but round here no-one would bat an eyelid.

I love tedorick, few polish boys names translate well but think this does. we spent ages trying to find one. We toyed with tadeus and mieszko.

Tedorik is a lovely name, and offers plenty of options for shortening. It isn't difficult to pronounce for non-Polish people, sounds perfect to me 😀

Lovely name, easy to pronounce and adaptable - Ted, Teddy, Rik.

Tedorik is perfectly nice, and if you're polish nice to have a name that references this. People will shorten to Ted anyway.

Tedorik is super cute, not that hard to pronounce/spell, and Ted is a very easy nickname if you want something easy in the UK. Definitely go with Tedorik

Definitely Tedorik. You can still call him Ted, but his proper name will be more unusual and reflect your heritage. It's not difficult to pronounce in English.
