Initials

I think I'm finally getting a shortlist, however I'm now onto middle names and due to our surname we could end up spelling words in the initials. So, tell me what you think of these initial possibilities please:

Girl
L.A.M.D
L.G.A.D/L.A.G.D
L.C.D
L.A.D

Boy
L.M.E.D/L.E.M.D
R.M.E.D/R.E.M.D

Possibly overthinking this, but FIL's initials spell a word and he hates it, so very conscious of it!

Only LAD is the one I wouldn't go for.

They are all fine. Presumably the A in LAD is the middle name, no one will ever know it. If it irritates you, simply add an other middle name.

Fine. Even LAD isn't bad. As Qwebec says, you could always add another middle name if it bothers you.

Just don't add Isobel to LAD!

I really don't think it's a big deal OP, I'd go for L.A.D. for a girl if you love it. FWIW my initials don't currently spell anything but they will spell a verb when I get married and change my name next year, so for all you know L.A.M.D. could one day marry Mr Peters and become a LAMP... so long as it's nothing that a schoolkid would tease about, I think you're fine :-)

Before I got married my initials were HAG. Can't say I ever really thought about it or anyone else noticed. Really think LAD is fine, it's not even as if it's offensive!
