opinions on Elizabeth???

Hi all,
We have a new baby girl who is absolutely gorgeous, but we have really struggled with settling on a name... Neither of us had one that we LOVE so we're left with ones that are "ok".
The clear front runner is Elizabeth, but I was hoping for outsider opinion on it?

There's a lot of nicknames she can go by my favourite is Libby.

It's not my personal favourite by itself, but it is a beautiful classy name still.

Prefer Elisabeth.

I meant to add: despite mine being spelled with a Z, I love Elisabeth. We thought she would get fed up having to explain "with an s" so decided against it but I'm not sure really we were right about that.

Yes we felt the same, she could do anything with it - kids tv presenter to politician.

We have basically decided, it's been announced on fb so we're pretty committed
But we've not yet registered her so I think maybe we are wobbling at the prospect on it being set in stone.

I was the same with DS and now I love his name.
I'm terrible for buyers remorse though and I think this is the same!

Have told DH that mumsnet approves.

My daughter is called Elizabeth. We call her Zibby.. bit random but lots of other nn options as she grows up.

I like it but someone complained to me yesterday that her Elizabeth was called Lizzy by someone and she doesn't like it.

I think the best thing is to give it time and see what you feel fits her.

My baby (ahem... 2yo) is Elizabeth (formally) but Beth is the name she goes by, and Betty as an endearment. Love it.
