Really struggling with a name for DS2. We absolutely love DS1's name: Jasper, and can't think of anything else we like as much for DS2.

Ideas so far are: Alistair, Otis, Austin, Rory, Gregory, Rigby.

Would appreciate any opinions on those/ suggestions for alternatives. Criteria: must be more than one syllable & not too common. Thanks

I have a son who we called Jasper, until we got him home 24 hours later and he looked more like a Rory, so that's what he stayed! My Theo was almost a Monty too, but we weren't quite brave enough.

Jasper and Rory is lovely

OP, I could be you! I have a Jasper, love it, and I'd struggle with second boys name. I also love Monty and Theo. I get your point about no to a second "dog" name.

I've thought about this far too much, I''m casting my vote for Rory. Benedict was on my long list too (although Ben is a perceived dogs name). Dexter is nice (although 2 -er endings). Hugo is OK but with together with Jasper it sounds a bit "rah".

That's not much help really is it?!

Rory is a strong contender, but surname begins with a y so I wonder if that makes a difference. I'm leaning towards Austin but not sure if that could end up being 'geeky'....
