Morgan for my money. Side note: I'm a Celt and would pronounce it 'Morr-gan' as opposed to the English pronunciation: Mor-gun. But I like either.

I like Regan too but my first thought was the film The Exorcist, which is a shame because it's a very pretty name.

chinlo · 26/09/2016 23:11

Is it for a girl or a boy?

For a girl, Regan.

For a boy, Morgan.

DramaAlpaca · 26/09/2016 23:15

I agree with chinlo.

Lilacpink40 · 26/09/2016 23:17

Agree with chino too.

PointlessUsername · 26/09/2016 23:18

Regan pounced Ray-gan or Ree-gan?

Haveakitkat · 26/09/2016 23:20

I love the name Regan - for a boy or girl ( prob slightly prefer for a boy)

Haveakitkat · 26/09/2016 23:23

*probably

RonaldMcDonald · 26/09/2016 23:41

Reagan, never
Morgan for a car or horse

LittleBearPad · 26/09/2016 23:42

Probably a bad plan to have a child called Regan. You may end up mad on a heath.

MsMarple · 26/09/2016 23:51

I agree with LittleBearPad, A kid called Regan won't be looking after you in your old age!

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 27/09/2016 00:32

Morgan.

Buntysoven · 27/09/2016 00:43

Morgan

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 27/09/2016 00:46

Morgan

AmeliaJack · 27/09/2016 01:03

I'm not keen on Regan because it always makes me think of the character in King Lear.

AdaLovelacesCat · 27/09/2016 01:05

Me too Amelia, the two horrid sisters, Goneril and Regan,....

Morr-gan all the way

UptownFlunk · 27/09/2016 01:10

Me too AmeliaJack.. Though, to be fair it's better than Goneril!

Morgan reminds me of Morgan Le Fey in Arthurian legend, another ruthless type. I prefer the more feminine sounding Morgana.

AmeliaJack · 27/09/2016 01:12

Well I'' pretty sure that there would only be one Goneril in a class so it already ticks on MN approved box. 😄

UptownFlunk · 27/09/2016 02:05

😄

Sophronia · 27/09/2016 17:30

Morgan

craicname · 27/09/2016 18:00

I know a gorgeous little Regan and remember wondering why her parents gave her such an ugly name the first time I met her. Sorry! Also made me think of King Lear and what a terrible namesake.

So Morgan!

WaitrosePigeon · 27/09/2016 18:22

Both equally hideous.

cbigs · 27/09/2016 18:25

Sorry op really not keen on either. Both sound a bit 'ugly' to be honest but you'll never get a full house of agreement. I agree with regan for a girl and Morgan for a boy if that helps. ( Morgan is a bit chavvy my neck of the woods too)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 27/09/2016 21:05

Regan for a girl
Morgan for a boy
