From what I gather it depends on the name - i.e you couldn't have a Holly Holloway but Rebecca Rogers is fine.

Does Saskia Sinclair work, or is it too over the top?

That name would set you up for a lifetime of success. If she's bold and confident, fab. If she's shy and introverted, interesting and cool. You can't lose....

At work however, there is someone with a name that is effectively like "Helen Helens" (not that, but very similar). And not by marriage. That is a step too far.

You'd have to hope she doesn't end up with a lisp.

My DS has an alliterative name. It's after I read somewhere that people with alliterative names are often more evil! Mmmmmwaahahaha!!
