I don't like Cassidy. I know a teen Cassidy and have never been able to treat her name as a normal name. Like calling her 'Bloke' or 'Stick', a weird sort of name.

I like Alexis.

I think Callie should be short for something.

I really like Willow (although prefer Willa)

MiniAlphaBravo · 21/09/2016 20:25

I like Willow best, not a fan of the others.

HelenaJustina · 21/09/2016 20:36

Callie if it's short for something

HelenaJustina · 21/09/2016 20:36

Can't think what!

Marmite27 · 21/09/2016 20:37

Short for Calliope usually

0pti0na1 · 21/09/2016 21:41

Willow is my favourite of those. Callie short for Caroline or Calista is also nice. Cassidy is too surnamey and Alexis reminds me of Dallas.

Muddlingalongalone · 21/09/2016 21:46

I love Cassidy if it flows well with your surname, next favourite is Willow & not keen on the other 2 at all.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 22/09/2016 01:39

Willow is gorgeous
Callie. I blow hot and cold on this name. ATM I'm cold.
I'm not thrilled about Cassidy. I like Cassie, though.
Alexis IMO is one of if not the most horrible girls names out there. Very harsh
I love Alexia though

HerRoyalFattyness · 22/09/2016 01:42

I love Alexis and Willow. The other two not so much.

MrsSecker · 22/09/2016 07:10

Thanks for your thoughts everyone!

Callie - as a nn (Calliope is sweet!)
Alexis - I like this, but I do see the echo of Dallas when I hear it
Willow - Buffy
Cassidy - American 1980s sound

Of those I like Calliope (nn Callie) or Alexis.

Rachcakes · 22/09/2016 07:24

I prefer Alexa to Alexis. Actually I prefer Alexandra, shortened, but that's my style.

Willow is nice too.

Not keen on the other two.

Elllicam · 22/09/2016 07:26

I like Callie, have heard Callia used a couple of times recently?

Whoooodat · 22/09/2016 07:37

I have a friend with a little Callie and I avoided saying her name for a long time as I just kept forgetting it. Other friends had a Halle, Malli, Ellie, Mari, and I would get them all mixed up.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 22/09/2016 07:39

My favourite is Cassidy, also like Cassia.
Willow is nice too.
Don't like Alexis, or Callie, but do like Calla.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 22/09/2016 08:46

My order of preference:

Alexis (prefer Alexa)
Willow
Callie
Cassidy (I know a Cassia which is slightly better)

PartiallyStars · 22/09/2016 08:52

Alexis does make me think of the Dynasty character so I see it as a hard name, but young people won't have that association.
I love Callie, short for Caroline or Calista, I like Cassidy, I am not a massive fan of Willow as a name even though I'm a Buffy fan but it is not horrible!

MotherDuckSaid · 22/09/2016 20:09

Reading the names together immediately made me imagine a clique group of bitchy American type bully girls lol
Sorry

GoNorthDarren · 22/09/2016 21:21

I really like Willow but none of the rest really. Willow is lovely though.

Nonameyet1 · 23/09/2016 11:31

Not Cassidy for me.

Love Callie on its own.
Alexis - like but know boys called this.
Willow is lovely too.

chinlo · 23/09/2016 11:40

Callie is okay. Does sound like it's short for something though.
Alexis to me is a boy's name.
Willow is great. Love this name.
Cassidy I really don't like. Sounds too American. Makes me think of Butch.

OvariesForgotHerPassword · 23/09/2016 15:06

Love Callie..I am biased because DD is Celyn nn Callie (easier than trying to get my English family to learn that it's Kellin, not ceiling). Lots of compliments on it!

OvariesForgotHerPassword · 23/09/2016 15:07

I think Callie works well on its own though tbh.
Also love Cassidy, Willow and Alexis! Willow and Alexis were both on our list for DD.

Stilldreamingofsun · 23/09/2016 16:52

Alessia is the Italian version of alexa- might be another option!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 23/09/2016 17:55

Alessia is beautiful.
