Just that really. Which name do you prefer, and why? Which is more popular - how many of each do you know?

I very much prefer Clara. I know it's meant to be popular at the moment but I only know one who is in her thirties and pronounces it Claire-ah!

Lucy, I have never liked and I don't know why except that maybe it reminds me of slightly prissy girls who I didn't really get on well with at school.

I know loads of Lucys but only one Clara. I love the name Clara Smile

Clara is a gorgeous name, but def. increasing in popularity if that bothers you.

Lucy is a more classic name, which has "had its day" in the popular name stakes, and there seem to be few around - in the next five years or so there may well be more Claras than Lucys.

I love Clara, dislike Lucy.

Lucy is a lovely classic name, you can't go wrong.

Clara is OK, but Claire would be more unusual now.

katemess12 · 17/09/2016 22:13

I like both.

I never used to like Clara, but I've warmed to it over time. I've always loved Lucy.

I'd choose Lucy, but I don't think you can go wrong with either. Smile

Caldini22 · 17/09/2016 22:16

I much prefer Lucy

PointlessUsername · 17/09/2016 22:16

Really dislike Clara. I'd pick Lucy.

Frontstep · 17/09/2016 22:32

Clara Clara Clara! Love it!

enchantmentandlove · 17/09/2016 23:30

They are both pretty, I prefer Clara though as I don't hear that as much Smile

calzone · 17/09/2016 23:32

Definitely Clara.

DramaAlpaca · 17/09/2016 23:32

I prefer Lucy.

Clara is getting quite popular & I find it quite hard sounding.

Gypsiestar · 18/09/2016 06:28

Lucy is lovely

KoalaDownUnder · 18/09/2016 09:53

Clara.

Lucy is a bit wishy-washy sounding.

Sophronia · 18/09/2016 11:44

Clara
