Help with Welsh names

First baby is due in Feb. We are planning on using Welsh names. Live in Wales, DP and his family have Welsh names, and are fluent in Welsh. This child, plus future children, will be going to a Welsh medium school, so just feels nice and natural.

Our boys name has been chosen even before TTC, I still adore it now and it definitely feels "right". The name is Rhys. I even think "When Rhys is born..." when we aren't even planning on finding out the sex until birth.

For girls, a favourite is Ffion and I also like Nia. Can't use Seren.

However, I still want to compile a list 'just in case', such as if the baby doesn't look like a Rhys or Ffion. Failing that, it's good prep for future baby #2! I prefer the more usual/mainstream Welsh names (especially for boys), just because I worry about the usability if they wanted to travel, etc.

What names can you throw my way?

Nye (short for Aneurin) is a great name.
I also like Gethin and Gwill. I would have either of these two as a name for Nye's baby brother but dh says no. If it's a girl I'm pushing for Anwyn/Anwen. I love Welsh names.

Arwen for a girl.

I'm not sure if it predates Lord of the Rings, or if it was created by Tolkien, but I love it. It's intuitive in pronunciation and spelling, too, in case she ever travels outside of Wales/the UK.

I've got a

Bethan Myfanwy

Also on our girl list was

Any boy we might have had would have been Owain Lewis (the Lewis being a family name)
