Leila is nice, but I prefer Laila.
I'm not sure either on the Lila pronunciation., But don't like it either way.
Livia is pretty but with Olivia on her BC.

Lila is gorgeous and I would pronounce it 'lie-la'. You can also spell it Lilah.
I like the sound of Livia, but there was a famous Roman poisoner called this, and that's my main association. (Ever seen 'I Claudius'?) So because of that I'd go for Olivia or maybe Lydia.

It's probably different in the UK, but Lara was popular here (Aus) in the 1970s and '80s; I'm 43 and went to school with quite a few Laras.

I think of it as pretty but very dated, in a Melissa/Karen/Lisa kind of way.

No way is Lara dated like Karen, Melissa, Lisa etc! I'm Australian and don't know one Lara.

Really?! I know loads. There were three just in my year at highschool (at a v small private school)!

Lila is LIE-la, as far as I'm concerned. Although I deal with a Lila at work who insists that she's LEE-la. Everyone else agrees that it's LIE-la.

I like Lila, and Leila, but prefer the spelling Layla because of the song.

No interest in Livia. It's just too Ancient Rome.
