What do you think? I think it is SO COOL and we are 99% set on it. I guess I'm just curious about what other people think, since it's not a very common name these days.

Please forget the aadvark and the lifts (we've seen both mentioned and are completely unbothered about both).

I know an 7 year old Otis. It's a great name, go for it

NoNutsPlease · 10/09/2016 13:55

I love it!

If ever have a second DS I would definitely use it.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 10/09/2016 14:08

I really like it.

Foxtato · 10/09/2016 15:25

I love it too Smile

pinkpixie83 · 10/09/2016 15:26

I wanted to call my 2nd boy this

RusholmeRuffian · 10/09/2016 15:27

Excellent name!

EssentialHummus · 10/09/2016 15:28

I like it. Makes me think of Otis Reading, not lifts or aardvarks.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/09/2016 17:15

Great !

Natsku · 10/09/2016 17:21

Just clicked on this thread to say "the aardvark" and then read the rest of your post, damn, but that is the first thing that came to mind but it won't come to mind of anyone of his generation so why not I guess.

TheOracleAtSelfie · 10/09/2016 17:24

It might not be as unusual as you think, there were THREE in our baby sensory class.

FWIW I do like the name.

CoffeeCoffeeAndLotsOfIt · 10/09/2016 17:39

I love it.

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and if this one is a ds id love to call him Otis. As it is, ds1 has an O name so dh has vetoed Otis.

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 10/09/2016 17:44

I just met a baby Otis and loved him, so now I've taken a shine to it.

It's quite chic.

Ellieboolou27 · 10/09/2016 17:47

The only Otis I know are dogs, it reminds me of oaties biscuits, saying that I do still like it.

Beeziekn33ze · 10/09/2016 21:02

Love Otis, and Arlo

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 10/09/2016 21:48

Love it! I know one who is about 5. It's lovely.

katemess12 · 10/09/2016 21:56

Otis Redding or Milo and Otis.

Two very different associations, one much cooler than the other, but the other isn't bad.

I like it. It's better than Otto, which seems to be popping up everywhere lately.

isitseptemberyet · 10/09/2016 22:01

I like it, i think it's trendy and is one that can fit into the category of aspirational (which i think is a positive) names like Hugo, Monty, Otto etc
:)

JazzAnnNonMouse · 11/09/2016 03:29

I don't dislike it and think it's a cute and cool name.

Does make me think of a 90s cbbc presenter - think he did news round
