Hi which out if the above names do you think is best? I am looking for a strong but trendy name that will work as an adult as well as a baby. (Btw neither myself or husband are Italian just like the name Luca but not sure if it works with an English surname?) Siblings names are Callum, Max & Jaxon. Thanks

I really like Luca and I think it works with an English surname :)

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 09/09/2016 19:30

Zak for me, but then I'm not a big fan of L names like Luca, Lucas, Logan, Loki etc. Loki especially reminds me of lochia and Lucas of mucus Blush. Think that's just me though.

How about Ezra, Milo, Xander or Felix?

Zak is nice though. Quite like Zachary as well but Zak is also fine on its own IMHO.

Scribblegirl · 09/09/2016 19:32

Zak for me although I prefer Zachary nn Zach. Luca reminds me of that song about DV "my name is Luca...I live on the second floor" Blush

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 09/09/2016 19:54

Zak.

Jyr2003 · 09/09/2016 20:33

Naming 4 boys is difficult 😨

SteviebunsBottrittrundle I like Milo but only as a baby not adult. Think I'll steer clear if the Lucus mucus then!

Zak

I have a Luca so that gets my vote.
It worked well as baby and toddler and suits him now as a teen too.

He is half British half Italian.

MrsA2015 · 09/09/2016 20:48

ZakSmile it flows nicely

Sophronia · 09/09/2016 23:43

Luca. But I also like Zak.

KoalaDownUnder · 10/09/2016 03:55

Luca.

Zak is a it rhymey with your other boys. Also, I only like it spelled Zach short for Zachary.

Love the name Luca but prefer Zak with Robinson. Either would be pretty great tbh but linguistically, Robinson is full of soft, round sounds and Zak just spices it up with the opposing hard/sibilant sounds that probably makes no sense

Jyr2003 · 10/09/2016 10:15

Thanks for all your comments. devondream I love the name Luca but do worry about us not having any Italian in us although I think there may be quite a few luca's about now that are fully English so perhaps it doesn't matter so much?
Raines100 I actually totally get what your trying to say!

I think that Zak flows much better, even though I prefer Luca. I do prefer Zach to Zak.

devondream · 21/10/2016 14:06

I also know an boy from a Chinese family called Luca - so I would not worry about not having any Italian blood Smile

Chinlo · 21/10/2016 14:11

I also think Zak flows best with Robinson.

However, I think that Max, Jaxon and Zak could be all a bit too matchy, if you see what I mean. So I feel like Luca would go better with your other kids' names.

User543212345 · 21/10/2016 14:14

I think Zak Robinson sounds like he should be on Neighbours. Much prefer Luca.

Geillis · 21/10/2016 14:14

Zak

Zak Robinson sounds very similar to Jack Robinson, the name associated with something happening quickly "before you could say Jack Robinson".

Oysterbabe · 21/10/2016 19:20

I really like Luca. How about Nico? I think it's similar.
