Ewan or Elliot

Would have James as a middle name and a single syllable surname. I like Elliot but DH prefers Ewan. These are the spellings they would have too.

Any preferences?

Elliot James sounds lovely as does Ewan James. Personally I am in favour of Ewan but I am biased because I have a 2.10yr old one (we spell it Euan though) 🙂

Elliot

Ewan. Elliot seems a bit TOWIE in my opinion

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 09/09/2016 20:53

Elliot.

ChrissyHynde · 09/09/2016 20:55

Definitely Euan.

Elliot. I don't watch Towie though.

I can't read Ewan without thinking ewwww-an.

Elliot is a favourite of mine, makes me think of E.T (in a good way) not TOWIE

BikeRunSki · 09/09/2016 20:59

Ewan (but I also prefer Euan).

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 09/09/2016 21:32

Elliot, but only by a smidgen!

Sophronia · 09/09/2016 23:57

Ewan

DramaAlpaca · 10/09/2016 00:01

Ewan

Hopelass · 10/09/2016 20:26

Ooh it seems quite an even split! I don't watch towie so never thought of that. I like Ewan but keep thinking of the dream sheep! Also, what can it be shortened to?

I don't watch TOWIE either so have no idea if there is an actual Elliot in it the name just seems a bit TOWIE-ish to me iykwim but that's just my opinion. Can't think what Ewan could be shortened to - think it's a short enough name without the need for a nn. Ewe is the only thing that springs to mind! I do prefer the Euan spelling though.

Elliot is fine!
