Due on Friday and still undecided for girl's names. Shortlist is:
Lydia
Katherine (poss shortened to Katie?)
Ivy

Middle name will be Rose (family reasons) and surname is 4 syllables beginning with 'Sh'.

Thoughts please?!

Not Katherine but love the other 2 :)

Ilovenannyplum · 04/09/2016 10:58

Ivy
V pretty

Really dislike Katherine Confused

JenniferAnistonsHair · 04/09/2016 11:02

Ooh, good luck!!

Out of the three, Lydia would be my choice :)

FloatyFlo · 04/09/2016 11:03

Love Ivy!

KoalaDownUnder · 04/09/2016 11:03

Lydia
Ivy

(Love them both.)

Don't like Katherine. I find it dull.

chocoLit · 04/09/2016 11:07

They're all lovely. Just see what she looks like.

Oly5 · 04/09/2016 11:09

I love Katherine! My second choice would be Ivy.
Don't like Lydia I'm afraid

Newtoday · 04/09/2016 11:10

All beautiful, and all go very well with Rose. Maybe Ivy as the front runner..

weegiemum · 04/09/2016 11:13

I have a Katherine - it suited her as a wee one and she carries it very well as an uber-cool 16 year old "art babe" (her words). Brilliant name. She often goes by Kathy now.

MyKingdomForBrie · 04/09/2016 11:17

Lydia as it goes best with Rose imo

PotteringAlong · 04/09/2016 11:25

Katherine, without a shadow of a doubt.

Foxtato · 04/09/2016 11:29

Lydia Rose.
Those names go together lovely.

MrsMargeSimpson · 04/09/2016 11:30

Don't shorten Katherine to Katie, it's really fucking irritating explaining that every fucking day for a whole life. If you like Katie, choose Katie.

Speaking from bitter experience

celeryisnotasuperfood · 04/09/2016 11:33

Like all 3 - favourite is Lydia.
But just leave it as a short list and wait for baby to arrive - then I think one of them will jump out as being right for your baby...

fluentinsarcasm · 04/09/2016 11:49

Like Katherine the best, Ivy the least.

There's no wiggle room with Ivy if she doesn't like it.... maybe V but think it sounds harsh
Katherine has loads ...Katie, Kate, Kathy, Kitty, Kat

maryellie · 04/09/2016 11:50

Ivy Star

Mausageandsash · 04/09/2016 11:51

Lydia X

Heratnumber7 · 04/09/2016 11:53

Ivy sounds like a Victorian kitchen maid.
Katherine and Lydia are both nice.

babyblabber · 04/09/2016 11:54

Ivy or Lydia.

Not a fan of Katherine, if you go for it Catherine looks so much nicer.

VioletsAreViolet · 04/09/2016 11:55

Love Ivy.

Katherine's okay, but a bit dull.

Can't stand Lydia.

allegretto · 04/09/2016 11:56

I love Lydia and Katherine. I like Ivy but not with Rose as a second name - sounds a bit weird to have two plants!

Hulafox · 04/09/2016 12:38

I like Ivy the best - esp if your surname is quite long. With Katherine it might just end up being a lot of letters!

eachtigertires · 04/09/2016 12:49

I like Ivy the best.

Rosaaa · 04/09/2016 13:00

For me:

  1. Katherine / Catherine
  2. Lydia
  3. Ivy
CakeRattleandRoll · 04/09/2016 15:08

Lydia Rose.
