I love the name Skye, it's so simple, but still really pretty.

Thoughts?

Yes, it's pretty.

chocoLit · 02/09/2016 19:18

Love

pinocchiosnose · 02/09/2016 19:19

I really like it too even after hearing about Skye from Paw Patrol constantly

Nonameyet1 · 02/09/2016 19:23

I love it too. However, a friend of a friend named their baby Skye recently and someone commented 'it's a bit home and away'. This wouldn't bother me but just thought I'd mention.

fluentinsarcasm · 02/09/2016 20:01

Erm, not keen at all. Cute for baby, doesn't sit right for adults.

DramaAlpaca · 02/09/2016 20:02

Love it.

Mol1628 · 02/09/2016 20:09

I like it. I know an adult Skye as well and think it is fine.

omri · 02/09/2016 20:17

I met my first Skye this week - age 2. Absolutely love it.

fluentinsarcasm · 02/09/2016 20:18

Seems I'm the lone wolf who doesn't like it then. Might be due to hearing it screeeeeched across the playground by 'colourful' mothers.

Gardencentregroupie · 02/09/2016 20:19

All the under 5s and their parents will think of Paw Patrol.

Skye?
Roseformeplease · 02/09/2016 20:22

Looking at Skye just now. She will never be able to travel to the West of Scotland without being thought a bit odd.

Went to school with a girl called Arundel.

Really don't like place names as people names.

yummycake123 · 02/09/2016 20:26

Makes me think of Paw Patrol....

mooimevrouw · 02/09/2016 20:27

A friend of mine has a teenage Skye, it really suits her. I think it's a lovely name :)

Whathaveilost · 02/09/2016 20:34

I love both the name and the place!!

JennyOnAPlate · 02/09/2016 20:37

Love it.

QueenLizIII · 02/09/2016 21:27

gorgeous

MrsCharlieD · 03/09/2016 12:04

10 years ago this would have been on my list. Now I think it's become too mainstream and a bit chavvy. Really sorry!

Paulat2112 · 03/09/2016 12:08

My dd is Sky, so obviously I'm biased :) not a very common name at all round here, not any in her school and I don't know anyone else called Sky/e. Incredibly outing, but all my children have place names.

SeashellHoarder · 03/09/2016 21:16

Don't worry about using a place name. If your from Sutherland you'll think Arabella is a place name!
