I love the name Skye, it's so simple, but still really pretty.

I really like it too even after hearing about Skye from Paw Patrol constantly

I love it too. However, a friend of a friend named their baby Skye recently and someone commented 'it's a bit home and away'. This wouldn't bother me but just thought I'd mention.

I met my first Skye this week - age 2. Absolutely love it.

Seems I'm the lone wolf who doesn't like it then. Might be due to hearing it screeeeeched across the playground by 'colourful' mothers.

Looking at Skye just now. She will never be able to travel to the West of Scotland without being thought a bit odd.

Went to school with a girl called Arundel.

Really don't like place names as people names.

Makes me think of Paw Patrol....

A friend of mine has a teenage Skye, it really suits her. I think it's a lovely name :)

10 years ago this would have been on my list. Now I think it's become too mainstream and a bit chavvy. Really sorry!

My dd is Sky, so obviously I'm biased :) not a very common name at all round here, not any in her school and I don't know anyone else called Sky/e. Incredibly outing, but all my children have place names.

Don't worry about using a place name. If your from Sutherland you'll think Arabella is a place name!
