Just that Smile thoughts on Sophiella? I really love it, but I think it's made up? Oh well, it's still gorgeous!

Urgh, awful!

Pemba · 26/08/2016 16:14

It's OK (not heard of it before) but I'm afraid it does sound a bit made up. I agree with pps I would just go with Sophie or Sophia (which are lovely), middle name Ella.

MrsGsnow18 · 26/08/2016 16:23

Sorry Op, I prefer Sophie or Sofia.
I would find Sophiella a bit of a mouthful. I wouldn't pronounce the end like Ella either.
I'd prob say 'soph- eel- e- ah'
Which sounds nicer I think than Sophie-Ella.

roseteapot101 · 26/08/2016 16:23

sounds made up

but Sophia or rosabelle are lovely names

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 26/08/2016 18:43

Love Sophie, but Ella is horrible. Very harsh

0pti0na1 · 26/08/2016 20:39

Sophia is a lovely classic name. You don't need the "ell" in the middle.

TheHuntingOfTheSarky · 26/08/2016 20:43

God no, sorry.

Sophie yes, Ella yes, Sophie with Ella as middle name yes, but afraid I'm not a fan of the "double first" names (Molly-Mae, Maisie-Grace et al).

PotteringAlong · 26/08/2016 20:45

Ophelia, yes.
Sophie, yes.
Eleanor, yes.

Sophiella? No.

AngharadTheSplendid · 27/08/2016 22:46

Frankenname

NauseousKitty · 27/08/2016 23:24

I don't like it when people are rude on these threads, but just no. Unless you are having a Disney Princess.

Mausageandsash · 28/08/2016 17:27

Does sound a bit made up to me, sorry! Agree with Sophie-Ella though! X

Sophiella · 26/01/2021 23:24

My name is literally Sophiella, it's so uncommon and to all those ppl saying 'ugly name' stfu its pronounced SOPHIE - ELLA. it's not that bad of a name, id rather have a unique name than a basic one like lily etc

Sophiella · 26/01/2021 23:26

@MrsGsnow18 just saying my name is sophiella, it's pronounced simply sophie ella. not sopheelia, a common misconception that is pretty dumb ngl ur iq -100

Ellada19 · 27/01/2021 07:01

I’m not really a fan of two names smushed together. Kinda reminds me of Reneesme from the Twilight saga. However, this just isn’t a part of the culture where I am from. I know in some southern states double names are really common so if that’s part of your culture then do you and enjoy! It’s fine.

Ellmau · 27/01/2021 15:36

OK as a nickname within the family, but name her Sophie or Sophia.

KirstenBlest · 27/01/2021 15:41

Sophie Ella - nice
Sophiella - awful

Ellasophie - worse than awful.

evenBetter · 27/01/2021 15:54

Oul sophiella sought this almost FIVE YEAR old thread to gob off at people who don’t like her name 🤣 classic line ‘ngl ur iq-100’

LowlandLucky · 27/01/2021 16:47

Sophiella · 27/01/2021 19:46
