DD2 due in two weeks and (you guessed it) we're struggling with her name. We have come up with something of a mixed bag I think- Eliza, Amy, Isobel or Emily. What are your thoughts? DD1 is Annie Florence which is a name we just knew was perfect- why is it so much harder this time around?

Amy and Annie are too similar.

I like Eliza best.

I like Emily. Emily and Annie rolls off the tongue.

I love Annie no help what so ever

I agree Annie and Amy are far too similar.
Eliza is the prettiest.

Amy too similar, Emily too popular.

Isobel lovely but popular... Although both Annie and Isobel are Scottish and go very well together.

Eliza is great!

I think Eliza sounds the most balanced with Annie, but I like Emily and Annie together too.
I agree that Amy and Annie is a bit mitchy matchy like pandas or kittens. Too similar.
Isobel with Annie would be ok but because Annabel could be Annie I don't know.

Thanks all- yes I tend to agree about Amy being too similar and Emily too popular. Was looking forward to 2015 lists being published in mid- August to check how popular Eliza has become but I noticed another thread saying it's going to be September. Typical Hmm

I like Isobel best with Annie.

All nice names. Eliza gets my vote though.
