I think scary spice has a girl named Phoenix

Not my thing, but it's your baby.

I'd think of Scary Spice too and her child is a girl.

Only heard it for a girl.

He'll probably spend his life starting sentences with "No, not Felix. Phoenix, like from the ashes. With a P. And it's oe, not eo."

I had it as a username on a forum for years and basically nobody could spell it even when it was written right in front of them.

Felix might be kinder.

I like it, but I think girl too.

180 boys were given the name Phoenix in 2013, compared with 49 girls. That's more boys called Phoenix than Martin (179), Paul (161), Philip (154) and Jeremy (73).

DH and I have discussed Phoenix at length and despite the numbers and actually knowing a little boy called Phoenix it strikes us as being a girls name.
