Not really my cup of tea tbh. It's the Arn sound I think I'm not terribly keen on but then I am Irish so pronounce my rs, so it becomes Arrrrrn which I don't like. I know an adult Aaron (ah-ron) nn Arnie.

GoldPlatedBacon · 21/07/2016 08:55

Go for it! I think it's great!

WaitrosePigeon · 21/07/2016 08:57

Hey! Arnold

I quite like it, but the inevitable reference is Schwarzenegger...

CatyB · 21/07/2016 10:19

Arnold/Arnie sounds good enough to me.

FenellaFerranti · 21/07/2016 10:26

I like it a lot but DH vetoed it for us. Good combo of fairly sensible and recognised but not too common!

Batteriesallgone · 21/07/2016 10:27

I like it

Raines100 · 21/07/2016 11:35

It's a grandad name, and I don't see the appeal.

MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 21/07/2016 11:37

🎶Arnold Layne...
🎶Had a straaange...
🎶Hobby.

Simmi1 · 21/07/2016 11:39

I don't like it but I do like Arno. I also like Aaron.

imwithspud · 21/07/2016 11:39

I quite like it, but I just can't picture the name on a baby if that makes sense? Probably because I've never come across a baby with that name.

If you like it then go for it.

sonlypuppyfat · 21/07/2016 11:41

It's awful, of all the lovely names you're going to saddle him with that

EsmesBees · 21/07/2016 11:41

'He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer
He's also a fantastic swimmer'

Unfortunately, this is the first reference that jumped to my mind

Batteriesallgone · 21/07/2016 11:46

It will be super popular in a few years time, so bear that in mind. Albert, Alfred et al are already really popular. Arnold is similar generation and so not far behind in the popularity stakes (I reckon!)

Athrawes · 21/07/2016 11:49

Kipper the dog has a friend, Pig, whose little cousin is called Arnold.

srslylikeomg · 21/07/2016 11:50

How about Arlo?

DiscordiaVanDiemen · 21/07/2016 14:54

The only young baby I know is called Arnold. I really like it.

Pemba · 21/07/2016 16:06

Goodness, no. My DF (70s) has friends called this so I think of it as an older name, it doesn't really have a nice sound either.

AsteroidB314 · 21/07/2016 16:09

I really like it. My dc2 was going to have been Sylvie or Arnaud ''Arno'' as opposed to Arnie. But in the same vein.
