Struggling for boys and girls names and I have 6 weeks left! DH likes 'normal' names so won't entertain anything slightly unusual. Ds is Max and really suits him- it was the only boys name we liked!

So far our only boy name we agree on is Henry, but think it sounds a bit posh for us!
Girls names we like are Lila and Charlotte.. But nothing is jumping out at us.

Most of our friends have boys do a lot of names are already taken!

Henry isn't particularly 'posh', I think it's lovely Smile

Henry's nice, but if it really doesn't feel right, how about Harry? Tbh I loved DS's name from the age of about 14, but had doubts about it until he was about 2 months old. Now it totally suits him.

Other suggestions:
Logan
William
Lucas
James
Sebastian
Edward
Matthew
Rory

I love Henry!

Have either of you got any family heritage you'd like to honour - Celtic, whatever? It may help narrow things down.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 05/07/2016 23:05

What about Harry rather than Henry.
Other suggestions.
For a girl.
Laila
Lilia

Liza
Lana (you could always spell it. Larna to avoid the 'Anal' thing.

Demelza
Delilah
Sienna
Beatrice/x

Possibly Harry? It's a bit less "formal" than Henry.

I have a little cousin named Max and his brother is Jack. They go together well, IMO. Smile

I like both Lila and Charlotte. Lila Charlotte is a nice combination.

Mouthfulofquiz · 05/07/2016 23:18

I love the suggestion of Lucas - it goes perfectly with Max I think!

MrsZumbaDancer · 06/07/2016 06:51

I really like Harry abut have 2 friends with a little boy called Harry.. And Lucas was a new favourite until recently when another friend called her boy that!

I like Jack, no friends babies called that, just a boy at swimming who is really naughty 😂

I like William (Will), don't mind James.. A lot if the other names above are 'taken'. We have a lot more choice with girls!

My son is Max Edward, kind of wish I'd saved Edward now!

Thanks for the replies appreciate it 😊

I really like Luca.. My best friend is due any day and I know that's on her list so I might lose another name possibility!

Really like Anna and Eliza too..

Not too keen on Harley/harvey

I think boys might be Will/Henry/Jack/Sam and girls Lila/Charlotte/Anna

Cheers for the replies Smile
