Well just that I am middle aged, and it seems like yesterday to me .... and the names from 2000 are hardly different to the ones popular at the moment. Things haven't changed much, it doesn't seem like another era or anything. I'm guessing you're probably in your 20s?

Eg Alfie, which Emochild says her DD's friend, born in 2000 is named. I also have a teenage nephew Alfie. My friend's daughter has a 2 year old Alfie. Then there is the actor Alfie Allen (from Game of Thrones, brother of Lily Allen), he must be 25+. So from that I don't think there has been much change in name fashions for a few decades, although a few new ones have been introduced.

The Government produces a list of ALL baby names given in each year, think it's the ONS list. I'm sure it's easy to google.
