That aren't Fliss or Flick? (Or City, which I can't imagine anyone would actually suggest but is a reasonable shortening!)

Any ideas!?

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 25/06/2016 18:59

Sorry, I know three and they are all Fliss!

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 25/06/2016 19:00

Fee

MyPelvicFloorTrainsItself · 25/06/2016 19:01

I know a Litty. I think it sounds revolting.

PaperdollCartoon · 25/06/2016 19:01

Santas - I've known a Fliss and Flick but don't love either shortening! Don't hate them, but don't love them either.

My friends DD is Fizzy.

MoMandaS · 25/06/2016 19:04

I have a Felicity and we call her Liss or Lic'ty (which is what her older brother used to call her).

MrsChrisPratt · 25/06/2016 19:04

I know a Fizz

MrsChrisPratt · 25/06/2016 19:04

And a Teee

LadyCallandraDaviot · 25/06/2016 19:08

Fizzy when little, Fi or Fizz when older

LotsofDots · 25/06/2016 19:10

Came on to say Fizzy.

PaperdollCartoon · 25/06/2016 19:11

Fizzy is adorable! I've not heard that before. I know a Tizzie (short for Elizabeth) and always liked that.

Lissie

AdoraKiora · 25/06/2016 19:21

I know a Fizz and a Flossie.

WreckingBallsInsideMyHead · 25/06/2016 19:33

Only know a Flick sorry

Iguessyourestuckwithme · 25/06/2016 19:38

Nicknames don't have to be name associative - I know a Mouse [Amelia] Quack [Zachary] Podge [James] Teeny [Jessica] Bear [Freddie]

ifigoup · 25/06/2016 19:40

I know a Flick, a Lissa and a Fil.

PaperdollCartoon · 25/06/2016 19:51

Iguessyourestuckwithme - yes I know a couple of people with completely unrelated nn's, and definitely open to them, but I feel like those sort of names need to grow and develop on their own, rather than being imposed from the start.

Our Felicity is Tilly-Floss or Fizzy

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 25/06/2016 19:53

Kick? I had a friend a jillion years ago called Felicity and she was always just Kick to us. Looking back, it was so cute and yet had a nice little sting.

MyBootsAreMuddy · 25/06/2016 19:53

I know a Flossie, Fefe and a Lissy. Fizzy/Fizz is sweet.

BigMamaFratelli · 25/06/2016 20:06

I knew a Liffy when I was growing up.

sooperdooper · 25/06/2016 20:08

If you really dislike the standard nn then don't use the name - you can only control it so far, once your dd or her friends can decide for themselves what you think is irrelevant

Iguessyourestuckwithme · 25/06/2016 20:12

What I mean is call her Felicity but as you form your relationship with her little pet names will come into play and you may use those instead. DC2 has a 3 letter name, I generally refer to him by A - a 4 letter word or B - a 12 letter word although he knows what his actual name is

WeekendAway · 25/06/2016 20:13

Fizz or Lissy.
