Hi All,

DD is due in Sept, and we're still undecided on a name.

Front runner always has been Alice, but I think because we've liked it for so long (DS would of been Alice but he was born a boy) that we're starting to go off it.

DH loves Madeline, but I can't help but think of that poor little girl who went missing. It's the first thing I think of when I hear the name.

We also like Jane, but my parents and his have said it's 'boring'. Even though we don't think it is, it's put us off.

DS is Henry, and our surname is Holmes.

Any suggestions?

Ok, looking up famous people born in Newham, for example, gives you

Honor
Joan
Vera
Vanessa

From Hackney
Paloma
Marie
Syrie
Mary
Anna
Kate

I love some of these.

Of course, you could go to the female version...

Dick Turpin, famous Hackney resident, go for Richenda...

East end names I think of, Sybil, Lily, Marie,
shame he doesn't like Eliza but Lisa? Elizabeth or elisabeth? Betty? Bessie? Bess? Isabel, the Spanish form of Elizabeth ? Elspeth? Elsie? Lise? Libby?

Lots of great Huguenot or Jewish Biblical names...
