As a name for a boy, nn Wolfie.....

Other DC have slightly unusual names.

Is it too weird?

I really like it and I'm not pregnant but I also love the name Star so I don't know if I can be trusted.

Deaver · 12/06/2016 19:39

Also love Ezra. I would prefer Ezra but DP isn't as keen....

Lady - I love the name Starla, I saw it on another thread and would be using it if I was having a girl!

Wulfric, or Wolfric, is an Anglo-Saxon also known as an Old English male name, meaning "wolf power" or "wolf ruler". ~from Wiki

inamess24 · 12/06/2016 19:59

I wouldn't choose Wolf of any spelling for one of mine that's for sure...... I have very boring names for mine, very safe though......

If you like Starla, maybe you would like Skylar? As in Skylar Astin from Pitch Perfect...... That's a boys name (just in case anyone doesn't know the actor or the film).

RiverTam · 12/06/2016 20:05

I like it! I'm surprised at all the negativity tbh. Miles better than all the ghastly old-fashioned out-of-fashion-for-a-reason names than MN love so much.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 12/06/2016 20:30

No-whooo

MrsJoeyMaynard · 12/06/2016 20:35

Maybe as a nickname for Wulfric or Wolfgang?

Suzietwo · 12/06/2016 20:38

I know of 2 in the last 6 months

MrsJoeyMaynard · 12/06/2016 20:41

Skylar is far more popular for girls than for boys in the UK.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 12/06/2016 20:42

Love it. Very cool.

WomanScorned · 12/06/2016 21:08

I prefer Wulfric, but Wolf is better than most names I see/hear.

IHeartKingThistle · 12/06/2016 21:11

Wilf? I like Ezra a lot.

Wolf I'm afraid is not lovely. But I do know a baby Badger. Yes I do.

HahahahaFuckYou · 12/06/2016 21:12

Since you like names beginning with W how about 'whatthefuck'?

'WHATTHEFUCK, DINNER'S READY!'

very very unique.

albertcampionscat · 12/06/2016 21:12

Wulfric, maybe. Problem with Wolf is that your child might grow up to be polite, plump and placid.

Ratty667 · 12/06/2016 21:18

^ yes, yes yes. What if wolf becomes a very dull science teacher?

CarlGrimesMissingEye · 13/06/2016 06:58

I like it. Wolf is a great name.

Lweji · 13/06/2016 07:02

I was going to ask if you had posted before about it. Wink

Lweji · 13/06/2016 07:05

You could always nickname him dubbya.

VeryPunny · 13/06/2016 07:11

I know grown up Wulfric and Ulric. They both go by Ric and don't like talking about their long names....

There was a toddler Wolf at DD's music group last week. Really didn't suit him; stupid name.

mollie123 · 13/06/2016 07:15

it is a dog's name really as 'wolf' or 'wolfie'
child will probably hate it in later life.

insancerre · 13/06/2016 07:21

Iheart
You know a Badger?
What are these parents on?
I do hope they are not thinking of Bodger for their next child

orangepudding · 13/06/2016 07:24

I know a 6 year old Wolf and it really doesn't suit him. Kids grow into their names but it hasn't happened for Wolf!

PunkrockerGirl · 13/06/2016 07:27

No. Just awful.
