What's your first reaction to Marielle?

Love.

Considering it now actually but surname starts with L so Mariella more likely.

MrsMarigold · 07/06/2016 22:37

Wonderful elegant name - one of the most fantastic women I know is a Marielle, she is glamourous, witty, and straight talking.

Thymewarp · 07/06/2016 22:38

Does the meaning of "bitter" put you off? Should the meaning carry that much weight?

Haven't heard of it before, but have heard of Mariella. Both pretty names.

purplebud · 07/06/2016 22:39

It's a really pretty name.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 07/06/2016 22:40

Beautiful!

JazzAnnNonMouse · 07/06/2016 22:46

Beautiful name!

MumOnACornishFarm · 07/06/2016 22:53

Lovely! I've never come across it. I can see it working for a beautiful little baby, and also for a woman. So many cutesy girl names must be hard to live with past 10 years of age. The meaning wouldn't put me off at all, most people would never know anyway. I'm considering Salome for a middle name and people go nuts over the associations that has. Hmm

neonrainbow · 07/06/2016 22:59

Beautiful!

I have always loved this name. Stunning. OH vetoed, unfortunately.

IoraRua · 07/06/2016 23:29

Gorgeous.

DreamInterrupted · 08/06/2016 11:01

Are you planning on a A or Elle ending. A friend is called Marielle and she is routinely called both.

nectarini1983 · 08/06/2016 20:16

Prefer Mariella.

(My phone autocorrected to 'Marie llama' ha ha!)

Vriksasana · 08/06/2016 21:38

LOVE it.

BettyCrystal · 08/06/2016 21:41

I knew a Marielle, with the nn Mimi. Which I think is lovely!

rollonthesummer · 08/06/2016 21:42

Like! I also like Marietta.

Wintersummerwintersummer · 09/06/2016 22:51

I know one under 3. Close friend's DD but I must confess that I dislike the way it sounds - looks pretty written down but there it ends for me.

HazAlways · 09/06/2016 22:53

Ive got a Mirabella, beautiful name.

EmmaWoodlouse · 10/06/2016 16:33

I've like it for a long time - I've always thought it looks and sounds a very "happy" name.

BrightandEarly · 10/06/2016 19:03

It was our second choice for DD1, who is named something very similar. So love it!
