What's your first reaction to Marielle?

Love.

Considering it now actually but surname starts with L so Mariella more likely.

Wonderful elegant name - one of the most fantastic women I know is a Marielle, she is glamourous, witty, and straight talking.

Does the meaning of "bitter" put you off? Should the meaning carry that much weight?

Haven't heard of it before, but have heard of Mariella. Both pretty names.

Lovely! I've never come across it. I can see it working for a beautiful little baby, and also for a woman. So many cutesy girl names must be hard to live with past 10 years of age. The meaning wouldn't put me off at all, most people would never know anyway. I'm considering Salome for a middle name and people go nuts over the associations that has.

Ive got a Mirabella, beautiful name.

I've like it for a long time - I've always thought it looks and sounds a very "happy" name.

It was our second choice for DD1, who is named something very similar. So love it!
