Which name do you prefer as sibling for Margot;

Margot and Nancy
Or
Margot and Iris?

I love them both. If I had to choose probably Iris.

PiledUpPenguins · 02/06/2016 22:32

I like both names but neither really go with Margot IMO. Margot is soft sounding and Nancy and Iris are harder sounding.

ColdCottage · 02/06/2016 22:36

Nancy but my gut reaction before I saw you had options was Harriet.

Audrey would be good.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 02/06/2016 23:18

I'd pick Nancy as its a nicer name, but Iris goes better.

NameChange30 · 02/06/2016 23:22

Alice is my fave
Nancy and Iris are too old ladyish for my taste
You need something strong and timeless
And I think it's more important to pick a name you like in its own right than a name that "matches"

julfin · 02/06/2016 23:35

Iris

LadyAntonella · 03/06/2016 09:14

I love both! I think prefer Nancy, but only very slightly.

LadyAntonella · 03/06/2016 09:15

Margot is lovely too btw.

Porcupinetree · 04/06/2016 14:57

I've known two people with Nancy as a middle name and both were bullied because of it.

barbecue · 04/06/2016 19:54

Nancy

manicinsomniac · 05/06/2016 10:58

Iris

CathemeralChild · 05/06/2016 11:01

franke beat me to it. Grin

CathemeralChild · 05/06/2016 11:02

But in all seriousness, Iris.

HopperBusTicket · 05/06/2016 11:03

Oh I love the name Margot! Two boys here.

Do you want two syllables? If flexible - Rose is nice. Alternatively it would be a nice middle name for Margot.

I like Audrey. And Clara as suggested above.

salvadory · 06/06/2016 00:38

I prefer Iris as a name so would choose it in preference to Nancy, however I already know of 2 sisters Nancy and Margot and did think they went together in a Mitford sisters style.
I too have a 4 year old Margot and she has an Imogen as her older sibling. We get nothing but compliments on her (margot's) name and alas I can't take any credit as my husband chose it.
