Naming a baby is so hard!! I think we have agreed on Eden nn Edie for girl however there's no boys names that I love.
Names I like but can't use for one reason or another are Oscar, Hugo, Freddie Arthur and Alfie. If I like them what else am I likely to like?

If you're going to call a girl Edie day to day, how about something that's a bit more of a 'proper' girls' name, such as Edith? I'm just really not sure I'd thank you for Eden on my birth cert if I were your dd.

CinderellaFant · 27/05/2016 08:09

I much prefer Eden to Edith but thank you anyway. All those boys names are nice but I just can't imagine naming my child them, whereas when we heard Eden we loved it straight away!

How about
Reuben
Quentin
Rufus

Ludways · 27/05/2016 09:06

I know a male Eden, I think it's unisex, so if you like it a lot, use it.

ABitAsleep · 27/05/2016 09:12

I am another one that loves Edie, but hates Edith! I like Eden too, but also like Edie as a stand alone name :)

For boys;
Christian
Casper
Samuel
Adam
Albert (Bertie)
Robin
Rupert
Rory
Rudy

Ethan's nice, LOVE Albert/Bertie but I know DH won't. I've never heard of Eden for a boy, I'll suggest it too. What's people's thoughts on Jesse for a boy?

OP posts:
Pipilangstrumpf · 27/05/2016 11:01

I would think that Edie could get mispronounced as Edd-ie as in a nickname for Ed.

HouseOfBiscuits · 27/05/2016 12:24

Ethan - great suggestion above
John
Alexander (Alex)
Milo
Peter
Victor
Wilbur
Sidney
Henry/Harry
James
Zachary

Edwin
Luke
Felix

Aidan?

Ludways · 27/05/2016 13:17

I've always loved Jesse but clashes awful with my surname.

LadyAntonella · 27/05/2016 13:26

I'm not all that terribly keen on Jesse but it's quite nice, just wouldn't be my favourite.

pilates · 27/05/2016 13:39

Eden is beautiful
I was going to suggest Albert, but Jesse is really nice too.

NapQueen · 27/05/2016 13:39

Jesse is great!

What about

Sid
Ted
Travis
Red
Gus
Owen
Hugh

NapQueen · 27/05/2016 13:40

Not red!!! Rex. Dawn autocorrevt

rainbowstardrops · 27/05/2016 13:47

I absolutely love Eden. I may just be ever so slightly biased though 😚

I've heard of Male Eden's too but for me, it's a girly name

EllenDegenerate · 27/05/2016 16:47

My son is called Eden. I love it.

My other son is Reuben, how about Xavier or Raphael?

Rh1annon · 27/05/2016 19:56

Braden

daisydalrymple · 27/05/2016 19:59
