Isabelle Eve or Isabelle Rose?

DD needing a name! We have agreed Isabelle we just need to agree a middle name. We have picked 1 syllable middle names as we have a long surname.

Isabelle Eve
Isabelle Rose

I know Rose is popular but I have always loved it, equally I love Eve as it's simple and pure.

Your thoughts would be most welcome! ! X

Isabelle Rose is timeless.

I think Eve/Evie is becoming rather dated now.

septembersunshine · 24/05/2016 19:24

I would go for Isabelle Eve. I think Rose as a middle name is very over-done. So is Grace. So Eve for me. Sounds a bit harder then Rose so maybe see what she suits?

manicinsomniac · 24/05/2016 19:31

I like Isabelle Rose better. Yes, I know it's massively more popular than Eve as a middle name - but I think that's because it works so well. Popular names are usually popular for a reason.

ChubbyMummy12 · 24/05/2016 19:34

Isabelle Rose :) it's beautiful

swancourt · 24/05/2016 21:54

Isabelle Eve is absolutely beautiful.

DramaAlpaca · 25/05/2016 00:05

Isabelle Rose

Sophronia · 25/05/2016 05:43

Isabelle Eve

swancourt · 25/05/2016 08:27

I just think Isabelle Eve has a magical-sounding quality to it. But then I have an Isobel Edith, which isn't a million miles away, so I am biased :)

Thanks for your comments it's great to hear what you think! Looks half and half so far for Eve or Rose! :)

Isabelle Rose is my fav

SpidersFromMars · 25/05/2016 22:04

I prefer Eve to Rose for a middle. Rose is unusual for first name but fairly common as middle, Eve is the reverse.

MrPoppersPenguins · 25/05/2016 22:45

I love the name Eve but I actually think Rose trips off the tongue better. Easier to say IMO. But then it depends how often you plan to refer to her by her full name!

MumOnACornishFarm · 25/05/2016 23:06

I think they're both beautiful. Sorry, that's no help! I've got Isabella on my list as a middle name if our next is a girl. I think I slightly prefer Evie to Eve, but both are gorgeous. Ooooh babies babies babies!!Grin

verite · 26/05/2016 10:26

From a purely phonetic point of view, I think Isabelle Rose goes better than Isabelle Eve

ABitAsleep · 26/05/2016 11:24

I think i prefer Eve, although they are both nice :)

Does it have to be one of those two, or could it be another one syllable name...

Isabelle Rose

Enkopkaffetak · 26/05/2016 20:55

I dont think Eve/Eva goes well with Isabelle it just gets to sound like Believe So I would use Rose.

Chinks123 · 26/05/2016 20:56

Eve!

havalina1 · 26/05/2016 20:58

Isabel Eve sounds amazing together! I love that!

Rose, oh lord it is so overdone.

ShesElectric · 26/05/2016 20:59

Isabelle Rose.
Gorgeous.

I agree that Isabelle Eve sounds like "is a believer".

ReturnOfTheJewel · 26/05/2016 21:01

I know a little Isabelle Rose, she's beautiful just like her name.

Both sound lovely but I'll vote for Rose, just because of the above.

I also love Kate and Jade as suggested by pp.

lizziet123 · 26/05/2016 21:03

Hi everyone thanks for your comments they have really helped. I thought i would let you know the outcome as when I read other posts I often wonder what they chose on the end!

We have chosen Isabelle Rose, my heart was telling me that one.

Plus, like a couple of you have said it Isabelle Rose flows better, the vowel run on from Isabelle to Eve almost makes it sound like one name. I still love Eve tho so will save that as a middle name for DD if we have another.

I have enjoyed reading your comments, it's so lovely that you take the time and trouble to post. Especially ABITASLEEP with all your lovely suggestions. I loved Grace or Kate as options.

DD is busily feeding away oblivious to the quandary I have been in over her name. I must add it took us 5 weeks to pick her first name!

Many thanks x
