Hi there. Thoughts on Cole please. I think it's simple but different. It was also my mum's maiden name. Quite like Colton too, but would probably just go for Cole. He would be Cole Alexander Smile

That was my baby boy name (But he was a she!) I love it.

Looly71 · 16/05/2016 23:13

I think Cole Alexander is lovely.

NoodleEatingPoodle · 16/05/2016 23:14

I love it. It's got everything going for it - a nice name in its own right, short, simple, unusual enough but definitely a 'real name', and for you, a lovely family connection. Go for it.

lateforeverything · 16/05/2016 23:14

Very nice! Smile

pinocchiosnose · 16/05/2016 23:21

I really like it

mathanxiety · 17/05/2016 06:09

I love it. I agree with Noodle.

Sophronia · 17/05/2016 06:28

Very nice

RubyRedandWilson · 17/05/2016 09:03

I really like Cole

HouseOfBiscuits · 17/05/2016 09:05

I like it. It reminds me of the musician Cole Porter.

Scarydinosaurs · 17/05/2016 09:17

Sorry, I don't like it- but not for any strong objectionable reason.

NataliaOsipova · 17/05/2016 09:21

Cole was a character in Falcon Crest (80s American soap opera), played by the chap who also played Perry Mason's sidekick in those films. So I always think of him when I hear that name! (Not necessarily a bad thing and probably just shows my age! Had the same reaction when a friend was suggesting Blake as a name for her DS - could just picture Krystle Carrington with massive shoulder pads circa 30 years ago.....)

Tiggeryoubastard · 17/05/2016 09:30

Naff. Horrible. Better than Colton is the only positive.

MrsCaecilius · 17/05/2016 11:44

Old King?

Zhabr · 17/05/2016 13:57

I know a lovely boy called Cole, so it is "yes" from me

nectarini1983 · 17/05/2016 13:57

Sounds very American but I kinda like it!

disappoint15 · 17/05/2016 14:03

Sounds like 'coal' and 'kohl'.

LadyAntonella · 17/05/2016 15:01

Not my cup of tea personally, but only as I think it might sound weird in my accent and the accents where I live.

LadyAntonella · 17/05/2016 15:02

I don't like Colton either (not a fan of Clayton and they sound similar) but I really like Colt.

catkirk · 17/05/2016 15:13

And his brother Abel?

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 17/05/2016 15:21

Cat' wasn't that cain?

We know 2 coles.
One age 13, the other about 2.

I have heard Cole as a nn for Nicolas.

Short snappy boy name. Easy to say.easy to spell.

Go for it.

KittyKrap · 17/05/2016 15:43
