Infinite nns are possible - a nickname doesn't have to be based round the person's actual name.

You could use initials though I 'd suggest avoiding OJ or OK, physical or personality characteristics,. e.g. Rusty (red hair), Sunny (Happy). Or anything random. DS2 has a nick name from a picture on a jumper he had as a baby - he's nearly 15 and it still suits him to a T
