What do you think? Ummed and ahhed about it with dc1 but didn't use it.
It may all be for naught as we find out the sex tomorrow....

It's really nice, I know an Italian Alessia and I think it's an unusual name 😊

ClubTropicanaDrinks · 27/04/2016 11:46

I worked with an Alessia (Italian) and she was lovely so it's a yes from me!

LemonBreeland · 27/04/2016 11:46

I like it. I know a 3 year old Alessia. Her parents are italian though.

Blackpoollassy · 27/04/2016 11:48

no problem there as there's italian in our family! brill thanks
can you think of any unfortunate nicknames?

I like Alissa with the nn Lissie - So maybe Lessie would be her nn?

OneMagnumisneverenough · 27/04/2016 12:48

I know one, also of Italian extraction. Known as Messy - it suits her.

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 27/04/2016 12:48

Lovely name, esp if you have the Italian connection. Alessandra is lovely too.

LadyAntonella · 27/04/2016 13:09

I like it and love the nn Ally for a girl. Also Less or Lessie maybe.

LadyAntonella · 27/04/2016 13:10

I love TheGirl's suggestion of Alessandra too. Gorgeous.

Blackpoollassy · 27/04/2016 13:17

Was also thinking of Alessandra but wondered if it was too much of a tongue-twister to the British tongue!

LadyAntonella · 27/04/2016 13:39

Hmmm I don't think Alessandra is a tongue twister. It trips off the tongue quite easily (easier than a lot of traditionally British names IMHO). I guess it depends on where you live (wouldn't be Blackpool by any chance)? Grin

Sophronia · 27/04/2016 14:02

I like it a lot, and love Alessandra.

Blackpoollassy · 27/04/2016 14:04

Now that would be too obvious Antonella Wink (also another great Italian name BTW)

Why thank you! Smile

Blackpoollassy · 28/04/2016 10:06

So, just found out we are indeed having a girl! So can search for Italian names in earnest now!

julfin · 29/04/2016 07:16

I love Caterina, Luisa and Elisa ( and the rest are nice too).

Only problem with Luisa is that you'll constantly have to tell people "it's without an O".
