My DS is one week old today and I still haven't chosen a middle name :(
His first name will be Henry and some combinations I like are..

Henry August
Henry Elias
Henry William
Henry James

Opinions would be great!

Don't call him Henry James. Everyone will think you've named him after the author.

kelda · 24/04/2016 21:16

Congratulations!
Do the names have any special meanings for you? I think August would be an unusual choice as he was born in April, unless it is after a family member.

idontlikealdi · 24/04/2016 21:17

Henry William. August is a bit odd as its April.

Chloeisobelle21 · 24/04/2016 21:22

William is in my Granpa's name and it was also in his dad's name - my great grandpa. I found August on a baby name site and the others are just ones I quite liked!
I thought Henry William sounded a little old?

isthatmytshirt · 24/04/2016 21:28

Henry William is very lovely :) good strong name.

Seeyounearertime · 24/04/2016 21:30

Henry William is a fab name.
It's a "Proper" name? I don't know why I think that. Grin

Congrats though.

Undercooked · 24/04/2016 21:32

Henry William. I like middle names with a good reason or story behind them. Otherwise they are dull, just "oh this is a name I never use that my parents once liked".

ProfessorPickles · 24/04/2016 21:33

Henry William is lovely Smile

Chloeisobelle21 · 24/04/2016 21:35

Does he suit Henry William?

I think Henry William has a great sound to it. ( also I spent AGES deciding on my DD middle name. Hardly ever say it really-obvs use it in forms etc) but you get what I mean ??

123rd · 24/04/2016 21:36

Defo suits it!! Congrats x

Chloeisobelle21 · 24/04/2016 21:37

I've attached a photo above, I do really like William!

The great thing about middle names is you can choose anything you like without having to explain or justify it as most people never get to hear it. So choose what you really like or something significant to you.

Haffdonga · 24/04/2016 21:39

Ooh, he's lovely!

eightoutoften · 24/04/2016 21:40

My eldest brother is a Henry, as was my DF, DGF and DGGF

Their middle names are/were

John
Thomas
William
Alan

Henry William is a great name! I seriously love it! If Henry wasn't my grandpa's name and my dad's 2nd name (and he hates naming children after relatives, smh) I'd be tempted to use it myself... Halo

Congratulations Flowers !!! He is sooo cute!!!

CaptainAnkles · 24/04/2016 21:49

He's gorgeous! Henry William is a lovely name. So is Henry James but the writer is an issue.

Sophronia · 24/04/2016 22:46

I like Henry August

DerelictMyBalls · 24/04/2016 22:55

Aw, he's lovely! Congratulations OP. Henry August is brilliant, but Henry William is nice, too. I love Henry.
